The Chinese government has a vast and sophisticated disinformation campaign to cover-up its complicity in the spread of the coronavirus that started in Wuhan, China, and now is a worldwide pandemic devastating lives and economies. As previously discussed, a key component of that disinformation campaign is to control the words used to describe the virus, If you claim that calling it ‘Wuhan coronavirus’ is racist, you are part of the cover-up:

I use the Grammarly plugin extension on Chrome. I use it to edit pieces on here along with grammar on other sites. I edited my piece "MSM Can No Longer Ignore Theory That Wuhan Coronavirus Spread From a Chinese Lab Accident" and Grammarly told me not to use Wuhan coronavirus because it "can encourage bias and misinformation."

The Chinese government caused this worldwide pandemic. It started in Wuhan. It should have stopped in Wuhan, but the Chinese government covered up, lied, and destroyed evidence. How various countries responded is not the problem. The Chinese government threw the world overboard, and now is claiming the world should have known how to swim better.

It would be easy to take a side on the issue of Jordan Peterson. Certainly at this point most everyone has. The controversial Canadian professor, author, free speech activist and public speaker has developed a massive international reputation over the past three years since he initially spoke out against the Canadian Bill C16, which threatened to make anti-transgender speech illegal.

Sometimes someone writes something that you wish you yourself had written. A few weeks ago I had just put the finishing touches on my new novel, Nevergreen, a “high-spirited, richly imagined” campus satire that is both “smart and hilarious” (IMHO), when I learned that debut novelist Scott Johnston was a week away from publishing a campus satire called Campusland that Kirkus Reviews described in the words I just quoted.

Democrat presidential hopeful Marianne Williamson gave a debate performance for the ages with her loopy, New Agey ramblings. Apparently, it worked on Granite State Democrat primary voters because she is ahead of Sen. Cory Booker (NJ), Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), and Robert "Beto" O'Rourke (TX) in New Hampshire polls. Her campaign website contains a seemingly endless wishlist of progressive/socialist/communist agenda items.  She's pro-"gun safety," pro-amnesty (including citizenship), pro-automatic voter registration (with 16 as the new voting age), pro-Green New Deal, and pro-Medicare for All.

Conservatives in Australia scored a surprise upset victory, in an election liberals supposedly could not lose. Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, German Chancellor Angela Merkel's successor, has come under fire for make a joke about gender-neutral bathrooms. Her remark was in response to a campaign waged by the left-wing Green Party to introduce gender-neutral bathrooms in official builds in the state of Berlin. She said the third-gender toilets were for "men who cannot decide if they want to sit or stand when they pee" on a carnival-themed TV show.
