This past September 17, a white Saint Paul, MN, police officer shot and killed Ronald Davis, a black male. Within five days, organized protests took place against police brutality, complete with professionally printed signs and “Stop Killing People of Color” banners. This is how a “news” (actually propaganda) source, that self-identifies as focusing on “the People’s Struggle," described the shooting:

31-year-old Ronald Davis was a father, recently married, and had just graduated school. After allegedly bumping his vehicle into the back of a cop car, he stepped out of his vehicle and Mattson gunned him down.

On Tuesday, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) spoke at the Muslim Caucus Education Collective 2019 Conference in Washington, D.C. about a wide variety of issues relevant to the Muslim community. During the question and answer part of the conference, Ani Zonneveld, who is the founder of Muslims for Progressive Values, asked Omar about the issue of female genital mutilation. Omar found the question, "appalling."

This Case of the Week covers Somali refugee Mohamed Noor, who while a Minneapolis police officer shot and killed Justine Damond. Yesterday a jury convicted Noor of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter for that killing, reports the Minnesota Star Tribune and other news sources. (Noor was acquitted of the more serious charge of second-degree murder.)

Minnesota authorities have investigated Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for allegedly using $6,000 in campaign funds to pay her divorce attorney and travel to Boston and Estonia when she served in the state legislature. Minnesota state Rep. Steve Drazkowski (R) filed the complaints last year.
