As previously mentioned, around mid-year I started seeking to broaden the audience by writing Op-Eds at major publications. Each time I do so, I post an excerpt at Legal Insurrection, so you don't miss it. For those of you who have not been following along and taking notes, here is the 2014 list: I've also done several dozen radio interviews, here are the ones for which I was able to get audio clips and post on YouTube or find embeddable clips:

Ignore the polls showing Hillary up by 50%+ over potential Democratic rivals. Elizabeth Warren "is not" running. Everyone knows (or assumes) Hillary is. The second Warren declares she's seeking the nomination, if she declares, the polls will narrow. The second Warren goes after Hillary as the crony-capitalist, contrived-candidate that she is, the polls would narrow. Defeating the Clinton machine would not be easy or quick, but I stand by my view that if Warren were to run, she would end up crushing Hillary. The massive lead would narrow and then evaporate, just like it did with Obama. But it would end there. As part of my effort to spread the word, I have a column today at The Boston Herald, Will Elizabeth Warren sell ‘outside the bubble’?. Boston Herald Will Elizabeth Warren Sell Outside the Bubble Here is an excerpt, head over to The Herald for the full story:

As you know, we have covered the Rasmieh (Rasmea) Odeh trial extensively, including research that demonstrated that the victimization narrative pushed by anti-Israel groups was contradicted by the historical record, Rasmea Odeh rightly convicted of Israeli supermarket bombing and U.S. immigration fraud. As part of my continuing effort to reach new audiences, I have a column that ran in the print edition of The Detroit News this morning and the online version late this afternoon, Rasmea Odeh is no victim. I thought it was important to have the column run in the Detroit News, because Angela Davis had a column there in early November spreading the same false narrative of Rasmea as a victim of Zionist and American repression. Here is an excerpt, but please head over the Detroit news for the whole thing, and share it on Facebook and Twitter -- the true story needs to get out:
On Nov. 10, 2014, a federal jury in Detroit returned a guilty verdict against Chicago-based Rasmieh (Rasmea) Yousef Odeh for illegally procuring naturalization by falsely answering questions whether she "EVER" had been convicted or imprisoned.... But there is another story here, in which Odeh now is portrayed by anti-Israel activist groups as a victim of Zionist oppression. Odeh has become, in the words of one supporter, "a Palestinian woman who embodies the Palestinian history of dispossession, struggle and resilience." ... That narrative does not hold up based on the record.... The only victims in the Rasmea Odeh story are the two Hebrew University students killed in the 1969 supermarket bombing. Odeh is no victim, just a terrorist bomber rightly convicted in Israel, who then lied on her visa and naturalization applications to the U.S. and was rightly convicted a second time in federal court in Detroit.

As part of that filing, the prosecutors cited and linked to my research post(emphasis added):

Tuesday I sat down to chat with Thomas LaDuke of FTR Radio fame. We chatted about the weather, the greatness of Texas, Ferguson protests, and how the new media and and the conservative blogosphere have changed over the last few years. I met LaDuke at my first political soirée in Denver in 2011. We were attending Blogcon when Occupy Denver crashed the conference. Later, I went to check out the police removal of Occupy from a Denver park, only to end up with a riot gun about six inches from my nose. It was a blast. Since then, new media has changed. Conservative media has changed. In some ways the changes I've seen have been very positive, other changes concern me. The Conservative movement has harnessed new media and made incredible strides. Concerning though, is the notion that we must be like the left to beat the left. It's simply not true. We are not the left and never will be, and thank goodness for that! The long game of cultivating an American culture that thrives on freedom requires we find our own identity as a Conservative movement, one that draws people to us. Tactics like those Alinsky employed are divisive and ultimately, only hinder our progress towards a reasonably unified freedom force.

Our post and video, Cornell Pro-Israel students taunted: “F**k You Zionist scums” has started to gather attention, with articles in The Blaze, The College Fix, and elsewhere. The video has over 10,000 views as of this writing: Language Warning Please share the video, people need to see the reality of what pro-Israel students have to deal with on campuses. The open hate in the eyes and mouths of these anti-Israel activists reminds me of points I made back in June, during my interview with Larry Elder about the Boycott Divest and Sanctions movement. I had forgotten about it until it saw this Tweet this morning:

We have covered the academic boycott of Israel extensively, focusing on the American Studies Association. Recently, in connection with the ASA annual meeting this week in Los Angeles, we reported on ASA's discriminatory policy to bar attendance by representatives of Israeli Universities or any Israeli academic holding a representative title such as Dean or Rector. After a letter alerting the hotel hosting the ASA annual meeting, The Westin Bonaventure, to the hotel's legal obligations and potential liability, the ASA changed its position. The legal challenge was that hotels are bound by laws barring anti-discrimination in public accommodation, and therefore have a legal duty not to knowingly permit discrimination on the premises. In reaction, ASA denied that it ever had the discriminatory policy which ASA in fact published multiple times and had on its website. ASA even announced that it welcomed Bibi Netanyahu to the conference. In another development, as reported by Eugene Kontorovich at Volkokh Conspiracy at The Washington Post, The Times of Israel, and JNS, among others, the Rector [Dean] of the University of Haifa is taking up the challenge, and sending an official representative to the ASA conference. As part of my occasional and continuing efforts to access new audiences, I have a column about the ASA conference at the O.C. Register, Unfairly singling out Israelis. In the column, I examine how the public and the hotel would have reacted if the discrimination were directed at any national origin group other than Israelis.
