As privileged women around the country don Soviet red and abdicate their responsibilities for their Day Without Women, the women of Legal Insurrection are hard at work. In fact, every woman I know -- my friends, my sister, my mom, my cousins, my aunts, and in-laws are all working today. You see, we don't feel it necessary to vanish in order to prove our worth or value. We're confident in who we are. Our work is never done. As a wife and Momma, there are no days off. But having the never-ending needs of a family to satisfy is far from burdensome, it's a privilege.

Outrage everywhere because House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) had the nerve to tell people they should prioritize their budget. On CNN, he spoke about healthcare with Alisyn Camerota:
"Well, we're getting rid of the individual mandate. We're getting rid of those things that people said that they don't want," Chaffetz replied. "Americans have choices, and they've got to make a choice. So rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and want to go spend hundreds of dollars on that, maybe they should invest in their own health care.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick started a trend last year when he decided to kneel for national anthem for social justice. Athletes in other sports decided to follow, with leagues supporting their decisions and not really taking a stance either way. But now the U.S. Soccer Federation has passed a bylaw that states everyone must stand for the national anthem.

Professor Jacobson has written about what's happening in Sweden many times over the years. He recently wrote a detailed post about the liberal narrative vs. the reality in which he concluded Malmo was the warning. Last night on the Tucker Carlson show, Daily Mail reporter Katie Hopkins described a recent visit to Sweden which confirmed that many women live in fear. Here's an excerpt of her recent article in the Daily Mail:

Fast food giant McDonald's has lost a few customers and wants to win them back. Executives plan to expand the company's "delivery, mobile and kiosk-ordering options as it looks to cut costs." From CNBC:
"Through enhanced technology to elevate and modernize the customer experience, a focus on the quality and value of our food and redefined convenience through delivery, we have a bold vision for the future and the urgency to act on it," said Easterbrook. "We are moving with velocity to drive profitable growth and becoming an even better McDonald's serving more customers delicious food each day around the world."

Famous liberal actress Jennifer Garner has told The Washington Post that she will work with President Donald Trump to help him uphold a few of his campaign promises:
Very much in the former camp, Garner acknowledged that some of her friends “want to turn their back to this administration . . . [and] just wouldn’t even want to engage.” Not her. “If he’s willing to help the poor kids who got him elected, then let’s do it. They certainly think he’s going to,” she said.

Mack Beggs, a 17-year-old junior, began the transition from girl to boy two years ago; the transition includes supplements and shots of testosterone that some feel gave Beggs an advantage.  Beggs competed for and won a Texas state girls' wrestling title. The Washington Post reports:

Booed and bloody, Mack Beggs dropped to his knees to celebrate. He was, after four wins and two days and all the rest, a state champion.

Former Major League baseball player Jose Canseco won't be welcoming our new robotic overlords anytime soon. Monday, Canseco published a flurry of tweets warning about the mechanization of jobs once held by humans. Don't worry, robots "won't attack and kill us like in the movies," they'll just steal all of our jerbs.

The Wall Street Journal has reported that distracted drivers on their smartphones have caused auto insurance companies to raise rates:
Costs associated with crashes are outpacing premium increases for some companies, and insurers say the use of smartphones to talk, text and access the internet while on the road is a new and important factor behind the wrecks.
