Five years after a significant outbreak in Africa, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared another international emergency over Ebola.

The spread of the Ebola virus, which began in the central African nation of Congo, has been designated as a “public health emergency of international concern,” a WHO spokesperson said.

We have followed the outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for over six months.

Officials have reported nearly 3,000 cases of the hemorrhagic disease. However, the actual number of infected Congolese may be a third higher than figures show, experts have warned.

Jason Spindler worked at the World Trade Center and was late for work on 9/11, which fortunately saved his life. Spindler, who had also belonged to the Peace Corps, ultimately went back to school for a law degree and worked abroad.

In May, I noted that the African nation of Congo was battling an Ebola epidemic.

It is now being reported that the most recent outbreak of the gruesome hemorrhagic disease is the worst it has experienced in history.

Early last week, I wrote that there was a serious outbreak of the hemorrhagic virus Ebola reoccurring in the African nation of Congo.

Officials are now alarmed as Ebola has now been reported in one of Congo’s few urban centers.

An Ebola outbreak has been declared in the Democratic Republic of Congo after 17 people have succumbed to the virus.

The outbreak declaration was made after laboratory results confirmed two cases of Ebola out of a sample of five suspected patients, the World Health Organization (WHO) said.
