Jason Spindler worked at the World Trade Center and was late for work on 9/11, which fortunately saved his life. Spindler, who had also belonged to the Peace Corps, ultimately went back to school for a law degree and worked abroad.

In May, I noted that the African nation of Congo was battling an Ebola epidemic.

It is now being reported that the most recent outbreak of the gruesome hemorrhagic disease is the worst it has experienced in history.

Early last week, I wrote that there was a serious outbreak of the hemorrhagic virus Ebola reoccurring in the African nation of Congo.

Officials are now alarmed as Ebola has now been reported in one of Congo’s few urban centers.

An Ebola outbreak has been declared in the Democratic Republic of Congo after 17 people have succumbed to the virus.

The outbreak declaration was made after laboratory results confirmed two cases of Ebola out of a sample of five suspected patients, the World Health Organization (WHO) said.

A non-coup coup has apparently happened in the southern African country of Zimbabwe overnight. I noticed last night on Twitter that the military started to take control in the capital city of Harare, but denied it was a coup because they planned to target criminals around President Robert Mugabe.
