2020 Democratic Primary Tag

The Democrats are looking for a fight. Their leadership and base has encouraged street harassment of Republicans, and their candidates are following suit. Likely Democrat presidential candidates are falling all over each other trying to show who will be the most aggressive in going after Republicans.

Hillary is doing everything you would expect her to do if she were preparing another presidential run in 2020. She and Bill just announced a national speaking tour, she attacked Kavanaugh, and she makes sure to keep herself in a news cycle just about every week.

Hillary Clinton feels cheated. The presidency should have been hers. The Russians did it. The deplorables did it. She is the victim deprived of her destiny.

If you want proof that Elizabeth Warren is planning to run for president in 2020, look no further than her actions. She has been busy for months with tons of progressive busy work which is likely to go nowhere, but that's not the point. She'll likely use it to distinguish herself from the other 30 people vying for the Democratic nomination.

Elizabeth Warren is one of the most contrived politicians I've ever covered, exceeded only by Hillary Clinton. She leaves little to chance or spontaneous encounters. That's why Warren abhors interacting with reporters other than in planned settings with sympathetic questioners. Her running -- literally -- away from reporters in the Capitol hallways is legendary.

Elizabeth Warren repeatedly has said that she is not running for president. Warren makes that statement, with the most earnest of faces, because she still has a November 2018 reelection to win, and her opponents are hitting her over the presidential plans. Republican candidate Geoff Diehl has made "Where's Warren?" one of his main campaign themes.

Rematch. REMATCH! In Hillary's mind, and the minds of #TheResistance, Hillary Clinton is the rightful president. Because (a) the Electoral College is a stupid thing and she won the popular vote, (b) the Russians rigged the election, (c) James Comey, having refused to prosecute Hillary despite overwhelming evidence, tanked Hillary's campaign at the last minute, and (d) Trump is unfit, uncouth, and undeserving, and his supporters are deplorable.

Democrats have a real problem on their hands. Almost all of the energy is in the Bernie wing of the party, but rank and file Democrats are bothered by the fact that Bernie isn't even a party member.

The 2020 presidential election is a good way off and the pivotal 2018 midterms are this year, but it's never too early for the regressive left to start griping about the 2020 Democrat frontrunner.   Former Senator (D-DE) and former Vice President Joe Biden is the Democrat voters' early pick to go up against President Trump. This is great news for President Trump, but the Democrat base is less than happy that yet another elderly cis gender white male with a penchant for groping women and girls is in the lead in this #MeToo moment.  His being a bit gaffe-prone is apparently not a concern, but his leading role in and continued defense of the 1994 Clinton crime bill contributes to the disgruntled murmurings from the Democrat base.

The Democrats are desperate, aren't they? Reports have surfaced the past few days that say liberals have started to pressure Democrats to use the removal of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) as a campaign point for the 2020 election.
