He might see the posters as passive aggressive (“We’re important here because of what happened over there”), and needing to be taken down; even while still supporting Israeli retaliation.
White males substitute sexist jokes for passive aggression. It’s the domestication of violence, which is the best you can hope for.
In which vein, isn’t taking down posters domesticated violence? It doesn’t seem clever enough to be entertaining but it’s not a punch in the mouth either. It’s more of an escalation back, or a refusal to accept the line.

How do you shame the wicked when they’re proud of what they should be ashamed of? You might as well try to make a rope with only one end or find a Biden that’s honest.
Remember the Hamas terrorists calling home to tell their Mamas and Papas they killed Jews? And how proud their parents were that their sons killed Jews? And the Palestinians in Gaza were so proud they danced in the streets. And when Palestinians in America heard it, they were proud, too. A professor at Cornell said he was exhilarated and energized .
All were exilharated until the Jews announced they were going to fight back. Then the exhilaration turned to bitternes. Hatred flowed out of their mouths like thick syrup. “Stop now. Don’t hurt innocent civilians. Cease fire! Cease!”
