Buttigieg Leads in Iowa With 26.9% of Delegates With 62% Precincts Reporting

The Iowa Democratic Party (IDP) released results from 62% of its precincts reporting. Former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg has a slight leader over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), 26.9% to 25.1%.

Gallup just threw more egg on their face by revealing President Donald Trump's job approval reached his personal best despite the impeachment trial. Plus, 52% of Americans want the Senate to acquit Trump.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) received a lot of criticism about his question that Chief Justice John Roberts rejected during the impeachment trial. Roberts rejected the question because it supposedly names the whistleblower even though people insist no one knows the identity of said whistleblower. Paul used his allotted time on the Senate floor to explain his question and push back against those who called him a hypocrite.

Rush Limbaugh announced yesterday he has advanced lung cancer. He will miss some airtime due to treatments. 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard tweeted out her best wishes for Limbaugh. As far as I can tell she is the only candidate to do this for him.

“In addition to the tech systems being used to tabulate results, we are also using photos of results and a paper trail to validate that all results match and ensure that we have confidence and accuracy in the numbers we report,” Mandy McClure, the state party’s communications director, said in a statement.
