During his testimony before the House Oversight Committee, former Trump "fixer" and attorney Michael Cohen came across as a whiny, lying opportunist who may have violated not only lobbying but also perjury laws. This impression was not helped when it was revealed after his testimony that Trump is a “racist,” a “conman” and “a cheat” that he had been shopping a pro-Trump book that argued the exact opposite.  The president, of course, had a field day with these revelations.

We have been chronicling how South Korea has been teaming up with North Korea on a number if different projects in an apparent effort geared toward eventually opening up the rogue nation in a way that will not be a severe economic strain on its southern neighbor. Though the Hanoi Summit did not conclude with a declaration, South Korea's President Moon Jae-in promises he will work toward having the other two countries complete the peace deal.

Remember the outcry over Rolling Stone magazine's appalling July 2013 cover feature on Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev? Apparently it didn't faze them, because they're out with another cover and feature story series that glamorizes two freshmen Congresswomen whose actions and/or associations with powerful anti-Semitic figures should be concerning to everyone.

Sorry, Democrats, but data recently released from the IRS indicates tax refunds haven't dwindled following Trump's tax reform, they're actually up by a whole 1.3% (on average). Since its passage, Democrats have demonized the tax reform legislation, first claiming the increase in take-home pay was minimal, then suggesting companies would just keep the extra for themselves, greedy corporations and all. When large companies passed the saving to their employees, Democrats went back to the, well it's just a one-time small gift, mantra.

Weeks after getting the European Union's approval for a gas pipeline across the Baltic Sea, Russia is moving ahead with its plans to construct a new Black Sea pipeline into Western Europe. Moscow intends to extend the existing Turk Stream pipeline that links Russia and Turkey to supply Western Europe with gas, German state broadcaster Deutsche Welle reported.

Unions and Democrat politicians asked Amazon to come back to Long Island City, Queens, in an open letter in The New York Times. They wrote:
New Yorkers do not want to give up on the 25,000 permanent jobs, 11,000 union construction and maintenance jobs, and $28 billion in new tax revenues that Amazon was prepared to bring to our state. A clear majority of New Yorkers support this project and were disappointed by your decision not to proceed. We understand that becoming home to the world’s industry leader in e-commerce, logistics and web services would be a tremendous boost for our state’s technology industry, which is our fastest growing generator of new jobs. As representatives of a wide range of government, business, labor and community interests, we urge you to reconsider, so that we can move forward together.

In their latest investigation, James O'Keefe's Project Veritas group spoke to a former Facebook employee who alleges that political bias at the social media giant is very real. She cites specific examples of people who have been targeted and even says that Facebook is trying to influence elections.
