This process has been a joke for far too long. An immigrant seeking asylum could just disappear into the United States once they got here. Mexico has now agreed to a new Trump administration policy which will keep asylum seekers there while we figure out whether or not they should be here.

On December 21, 1988—30 years ago today—Pan Am Flight 103 dropped from the night sky killing 270 people, including all 259 of its passengers and crew and 11 people on the ground in the small town of Lockerbie, Scotland, which lies 120km southwest of Glasgow. It was the deadliest terror attack ever on UK soil.

Last night, the Fourth Circuit stayed Maryland and Washington, D.C.'s Emoluments Clause lawsuit against President Trump in its entirety, while scheduling oral argument in the case to begin on March 19, 2019. This means that the litigation will be completely paused until the court reaches a decision on the President's petition, which won't be for at least three months.

With British Prime Minister Theresa May failing to get parliamentary support for her plan to leave the European Union and only 100 days until the deadline, Britain is veering towards a "no deal" Brexit. In case of a no deal Brexit, the UK will leave the EU without any formal agreement on the future relationship with the 27-member European bloc. This would mean the UK would be "treated as a 'third country' by the EU with commerce governed by World Trade Organisation rules," British tabloid The Sun reported. Currently the UK's trade, customs, and immigration policies are subject to EU laws and regulatory bodies. Under the blueprint agreement presented by May's government and Brussels, the EU courts will continue to have jurisdiction over many aspects of British life.

A new poll by Gallup illustrates how public opinion on issues like Obamacare and immigration have changed since the midterm elections. One in 5 American surveyed now say that the federal government is the biggest problem with the country and were more likely to cite the government as problematic than any other issue. Even more interesting, guns sunk to the bottom of the list.

The Nation of Islam, led by rabid anti-Semitic Louis Farrakhan, is a hate group. Farrakhan constantly spits out hate towards whites and Jews. The man referred to Jews as termites and hailed Hitler as a great man. He authored the book The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews where he accused Jews of spreading the slavery trade and controlling the global economy. Farrakhan has even said he thinks the Jews masterminded 9/11. But for some reason the government has been giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to Farrakhan's hate group since 2008 in order teach religious classes to federal prisoners.

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) announced that President Donald Trump will not sign the short-term funding bill the Senate passed last night. From Politico:
“The president informed us he will not sign the bill that came from the Senate last evening because of his legitimate concerns for border security,” Ryan told reporters after meeting with Trump at the White House. “So what we're going to do is go back to the House and work with our members.”
Ryan confirmed that the House also has "very serious concerns" when it comes to border security.

Whether you call it the swamp, the deep state or the Washington, DC establishment, it was definitely out to get Trump following the 2016 election. He wasn't supposed to win and he had angered some of the wrong people. How else can this be explained? The Russian collusion conspiracy that Democrats and their media allies have obsessed over for the last two years was fueled in large part by the Steele dossier. It's sad to learn that someone associated with John McCain played a role in this.
