Undercover Video: AZ Sen Candidate Kyrsten Sinema Claims Arizonians Will ‘Actually Shoot You’ if You Mention Gun Bans

Project Veritas has released a few undercover videos to show us what Democrat candidates really think and how they lie in order to receive votes from moderates or Republicans.

Arizona Democrat Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema became the latest target. An undercover Project Veritas journalist caught staff members saying that Sinema has to appear moderate, which means no talking about gun bans. When the journalist mentions that, Sinema says, “They’ll actually shoot you.”

Sinema is running against Republican Rep. Martha McSally for retiring Republican Sen. Jeff Flake. Sinema had an advantage in earlier polls, but as Election Day draws near, McSally has taken the lead.

Videos from Sinema’s past where she trashes Arizona and Arizonians haven’t done much to help her along with a few other videos.

I doubt this one will help her out.

Weapons Ban

The undercover journalist spoke with campaign manager Michelle Davidson about “assault” weapons bans. She explained that Sinema cannot flat out say she wants to ban certain guns due to political pressures.

The journalist then told Sinema that California is so nice because when anyone says “ban guns” others enthusiastically agree. Sinema is then asked, “You say ‘ban guns’ out here?”

She said: “They’ll actually shoot you.”

So instead of talking about weapons bans, Sinema has to use the left’s treasured talking points: background checks, mental illness, or violent crimes.

DAVIDSON: “So we can’t talk about that [assault weapon bans] right? So what Kyrsten… the conversation that she can lead is how do we get to a place where we can, background checks… We’ve got to fix the gun show loophole, we have to fix the background check system. We’ve got to make it harder for people who have been convicted of domestic violence and other violent crimes to get guns—I mean those are the conversations we can have.”

Steve Andrews, a big time donor for Sinema, admitted on camera that a weapons ban cannot be a platform issue. However, he believes that if the issue ever came up to vote, then Sinema “will be okay” and won’t vote against banning “assault” weapons.

Need Independent and Moderate Voters

The video then cuts to Sinema explaining to people that she needs independents, moderate, and even conservative Republicans to vote for her in order to win the elections.

Field organizer Lauren Fromm told the undercover journalist that Sinema is “very liberal” and a progressive. She cannot “alienate the conservative or moderate conservative voters by” showing the fact that she’s pro-choice.

Fromm said that Sinema “took so much democratic help” because she cannot show her progressive side to the people of Arizona.

Another field organizer, Madison Snarr, wasn’t as eloquent in her explanation as to why Sinema hides her liberal views:

SNARR: “She’s going to vote for the interests of Arizonans. She’s going to stand up and protect Arizonan values. Whatever the f**k that means.”

(That means doing her job. People forget that politics isn’t about party. These representatives and senators have to vote how the people they represent want them to.)

Snarr also said that Sinema became a centrist in order to move up the chain and gain power. Snarr told Arizona votes that if “you f**k with Trump” then don’t vote for Sinema.

Field organizer Michael Smyser thinks Sinema will embrace her progressive views if elected as senator because that term is six years. She has a moderate Democrat voting record in the House since it’s only a two year term limit, which doesn’t give the public enough time to get “on board with a lot of like more swinging left type things.”

In other words, shorter term limits forced Sinema to actually do her job and vote according to the views of her constituents.

The undercover journalist talks with big donor Andrews again, who reiterates that Sinema will vote progressive in the Senate, but for right now she has to “be all Martha McSally is a C** and I’m good.”

The Border, Citizenship

The border is the last topic on the video. It makes sense this is a big issue since Arizona lies on the border and there’s a migrant caravan headed towards the US.

Sinema boasted to the journalist that America “should offer Citizenship to every person who’s in this country, who isn’t bad.”

That answer I don’t mind too much. While citizenship shouldn’t be a cake walk, the process should be easier and run smoother.
