Obama Digs Up, Re-Flogs “Grumpy Cat” Meme

President Meme has jokes

On Friday, President Obama unsheathed his mad internet skills and used them to bat at his Republican counterparts in Congress and on the campaign trail. Comparing GOP politicians to “Grumpy Cat,” he lamented that anyone would dare display skepticism of the direction in which his administration has chosen to steer the country.

From The Hill:

“Overall, we are making enormous progress. And it does make you wonder why is it that Republican politicians are so down on America?” Obama said. “I mean, they are gloomy. They’re like Grumpy Cat.”

Trying to connect with a younger generation of voters, Obama mimicked the Internet meme’s sour face, drawing a raucous reaction from the crowd.

Obama made the case for his successor to double down on his administration’s efforts to expand access to healthcare, fight for equal pay for women and cut greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change.

The president assailed Republicans for trying to roll back his healthcare law and Wall Street reform, and for even “thinking about shutting down the government over Planned Parenthood.”

Watch:

What in the world could Republican politicians possibly have to complain about? Let’s review:

Cluelessness about debt and the economy.

Dirty dealings and cyberespionage.

Complete ignorance of the law.

Democrats’ complete descent into Socialism.

Not good enough? More, then:

This ridiculous fauxtrage.

Official punishments for climate change skepticism.

Literally everything having to do with Planned Parenthood.

This worn-out play of the race card.

Every time Hillary Clinton opens her mouth about Benghazi.

An EPA that destroys the environment.

And finally, This travesty.

In Obama’s America, dissent isn’t patriotic—it’s a joke; and this is how Democrats win the cycle: instead of fighting back with actual policy arguments and explanations, they turn to humor, to the ridiculous, and thus exploit the public’s weakness for pop culture.

Laughing is so much easier than asking a question—and there’s no need for curiosity when your fearless leader is perfectly willing to laugh along with you.

Is it 2017 yet?

Who or what is Grumpy Cat??

I did a search using Google.

Evidently, it is not a character in some cartoon. It’s an actual cat. Its name has nothing to do with what it does or how it behaves. There’s nothing grumpy about it – it just looks sour or stern. (because of a birth defect)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grumpy_Cat

It was born on April 4, 2012, and became famous in late 2012 and in 2013. It has become a famous picture, and that’s all it is.

Although, I suppose, people have started inventing stories about it. Or is it, that people have made Photoshops of people’s faces looking like it?

I remember reading that Grumpy Cat was a star at the 2014 SXSW conference in Austin. Apparently people stood in line for hours to get their picture taken with it. Seriously. Where is our resident cat lady? I’m sure she can tell us much more.

Jump to time in video plz so we don’t have to sit through 25 mins of his claptrap.

=====================================

This is just more trolling-level propaganda. It sooths only idiots, and it attacks the rational mind with its brazen lies.

There really is no penalty to properly punish this man according to law. Though being married to MoooOOOooochelle may be as close as we can come.

The practice of cultural reference in politics is as old as politics itself.

Where’s the beef?

Anyone who has referred to the leader of another country that is democratic and an ally, as “chickensh*t”, has no class whatsoever.

I really, really, really, really, really dispise that ‘man’ and anybody that voted for the PO(TU)S. Is it 2017 yet?

Yes! Yes, it is! Ted Cruz is president. The House majority has grown by another 40 seats. The Senate is now 65/35 in favor of the GOP. Ted Nugent is Secretary of Defense. Three liberal USSC justices have ebola. Cher moved to Slovenia two years ago with Alec Baldwin and neither has been heard of since. Roe v. Wade has been overturned. Hollywood collapsed financially and Fayetteville, NC is now the entertainment capital. MSNBC converted itself into a shopping channel specializing in firearms and their ratings skyrocketed. Rachel Maddow got herself pregnant – literally – and is now a stay at home fa-mother. Obama, bless his heart, went on a tour of the Middle East to thank the terrorists for all their support while he was president and was promptly beheaded.

    C’mon out! The water’s fine!

“In Obama’s America, dissent isn’t patriotic—it’s a joke…”

Unless of course, that dissent is a whistleblower or a journalist reporting such a story. Then Obama and minions are pledged to go grumpy Soviet on you.
