I recently noted that the Centers for Disease Control proposed guidelines prioritizing "essential workers" over the elderly, using race to justify the decision. These recommendations run counter to those issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and scientific evidence that the pandemic would be quelled more quickly if the more vulnerable populations were protected first.

I came across this New York Post article about 12,000 kids not allowed to return to school after the Christmas holidays over lack of COVID-19 consent forms. Interest piqued because government sucks. It turns out Mayor Bill de Blasio required a consent form to test your child for COVID without a parent present and would not accept test results from a private doctor.

President Donald Trump announced he wants Congress to amend the COVID-19 relief bill to give Americans $2,000 instead of $600. The best part? Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi "forgetting" that Republicans and Trump never once told her the amount they wanted to give people. Oh, she also said one day ago that $600 is a significant sum.

Dr. Birx was outed Sunday for defying her own holiday get-together guidance issued to the general public and has decided to retire after the "overwhelming" experience of having her hypocrisy gracing national headlines. Birx will help the Biden team and then she's out.

Congress will vote Monday night on a COVID-19 relief bill worth $900 billion along with a $1.4 trillion spending bill to cover the remainder of the 2021 Fiscal Year. The Democrats wanted a $2.2 trillion COVID-19 relief bill before the election, but Republicans offered $900 billion. The left only agreed to that amount after their guy won the presidential election.
