A Democratic candidate for the Senate seat currently being held by Thom Tillis (R-NC) lashed out at Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) at a recent campaign stop. She accused the former DSCC chairman of handpicking a primary candidate he wanted to win instead of allowing Democratic voters to decide.

The Senate will receive the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump at 12 p.m. ET. The seven managers from the House will officially deliver the papers. This marks the official start of the trial. At 2 p.m. ET, the Senate will swear in Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and the Senators who will serve as jurors in the impeachment trial.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appeared Sunday on ABC's This Week, and she left the door open for further articles of impeachment. She's also still clinging to the fantasy that the American public will get on board with her partisan impeachment clown show.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) suggested on Sunday morning that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell change the impeachment rules if Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi continues to hold the articles of impeachment hostage:
"Well, we’re not going to let Nancy Pelosi use the rules of the Senate to her advantage. This is dangerous to the presidency as an institution," Graham said. "They impeached the president, but the speaker of the House is holding the articles back, trying to extort from the majority leader of the Senate a trial to her liking. They’re trying to hold these articles over the head of the president."

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wasted no time on the first day back from the holiday break to attack Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Democrats over the impeachment of President Donald Trump:
"We've heard it claimed that the same House Democrats who botched their own process should get to reach over here into the Senate and dictate our process," McConnell said from the Senate floor.

After the House voted to impeach President Donald Trump, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said the Democrats may wait to send the Senate the Articles of Impeachment to try to exert pressure on the Senate at to impeachment trial rules. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell slammed Pelosi and the Democrats on the floor this morning.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) appeared on Fox News Sunday morning and blasted House Democrats in general and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-NY) in particular.  Graham, who serves as Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, also shared his intention to end the impeachment trial "as quickly as I can for the good of the country."

Just days after taking office, President Trump signed an Executive Order returning power over health care and insurance to the states.  Although Congressional Republicans clearly have no intention of repealing ObamaCare, Trump went on to further weaken the disastrous health insurance scheme of his predecessor. Democrats are not happy. They attempted on Wednesday to roll back a Trump administration rule that permits states to ignore sections of ObamaCare and to loosen requirements on health insurance that increased costs on individuals and businesses within the states.
