There is no constitutional crisis regarding the House Intelligence Committee's unsuccessful attempt to get the unredacted Mueller report, including secret grand jury information, and the documents underlying the investigation. Disregard what Jerrold Nadler says about there being a constitutional crisis.

Okay, it's hard to think of a more ridiculous argument than this, yet the Democrats have concocted it for public consumption. Their point goes something like this:  Republicans are forcing them to pursue impeachment, against their (the Dems') better judgment, and . . . um, it's not good.  Unless it is.  (But it's not.)

We all know Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi wants control back of her party since Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) and Ilhan Omar (MN) have shown they have no problem rebelling against the establishment. Pelosi decided to splash them and others with a dose of reality when it comes to impeaching President Donald Trump: Stop.

I read with great interest FiveThirtyEight's breakdown of "The Six Wings of the Democratic Party," so you can imagine my amusement when "Progressive Old Guard" House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) finally said what we all know to be true:  the House would be ridiculously stupid to impeach President Trump. Okay, she didn't say it quite like that, but that was the gist of it.  In an exclusive interview with The Washington Post, Pelosi announced that she was about to "give you some news right now because I haven’t said this to any press person before."

The repeated antisemitic comments from Democrat Representative Ilhan Omar, while condemnable, are all too familiar to those of us who have closely followed the anti-Israel movement. Charges of dual loyalty or disloyalty lodged against Jews predate the creation of the State of Israel by many centuries. Those charges are a core accusation of the oldest hate.

The House Democratic Leadership has finally condemned the latest anti-Semitic language we have seen from Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) where she suggested that Republicans only support Israel and condemn anti-Semitism because of money. From Fox News:
“We are and will always be strong supporters of Israel in Congress because we understand that our support is based on shared values and strategic interests. Legitimate criticism of Israel’s policies is protected by the values of free speech and democratic debate that the United States and Israel share. But Congresswoman Omar’s use of anti-Semitic tropes and prejudicial accusations about Israel’s supporters is deeply offensive. We condemn these remarks and we call upon Congresswoman Omar to immediately apologize for these hurtful comments."

Trump is widely portrayed as having suffered a devastating loss to Nancy Pelosi by agreeing to a continuing resolution without additional funding for a border wall in some form. And certainly, Pelosi is crowing about her victory. She's also emboldened, accusing Trump of being subjected to blackmail by Putin. (Exact quote: "What does Putin have on @realDonaldTrump, politically, personally or financially?").

President Donald Trump has informed Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in a letter that he will honor her previous invitation to deliver the State of the Union in Congress on January 29. He told Pelosi, "It would be so very sad for our Country if the State of the Union were not delivered on time, on schedule, and very importantly, on location!" Pelosi shot back that she won't allow Trump to deliver the address in the House.
