Former FBI director James Comey's book reportedly includes unsubstantiated accusations against then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch.  He reportedly writes that he was aware of “'unverified' information discovered by the U.S. government in 2016 from a classified source [that] 'would undoubtedly have been used by political opponents to cast serious doubt on the attorney general’s independence in connection with the Clinton investigation'.” Comey's book also reportedly reveals that his firm belief that Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 presidential election influenced his decision-making process and that his goal in his October announcement was to help ensure the legitimacy of her presidency.

I have been highly critical of Loretta Lynch. I didn't support her nomination to be Attorney General. I've argued that the tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton smelled like a signal to the Clintons not to worry about the DOJ/FBI investigation of Hillary's server. Yet now I come to her defense because of James Comey's attack on her.

Newly-released messages between two FBI agents who were then working on the Hillary Clinton email investigation show that they and possibly then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch knew in advance that no charges would be recommended by then-FBI Director James Comey.  The FBI has further admitted to "losing" five months worth of texts between these same FBI agents.

Judicial Watch has taken the lead in pursuing government records of Hillary Clinton's sketchy use of at least 13 devices for emails while serving as Secretary of State, as well as her controversial decision to set up a private server. Judicial Watch's FOIA requests have resulted in quite a few bombshells.  Among them the fact that Hillary sent classified materials via email to her daughter and other such revelations that show the need to reopen the Hillary investigations.

President Donald Trump's Department of Justice (DOJ) has launched a new investigation into the Clinton Foundation over "pay to play" allegations. Over the past year or so, Judicial Watch has dumped numerous emails when failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton served as secretary of state under President Barack Obama and quite a few showed connections between Clinton Foundation donors and Hillary.

President Donald Trump tweeted that failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's former aide Huma Abedin should face jail after reports have emerged she sent State Department passwords to her personal Yahoo account. The Daily Caller reported on Monday that Abedin sent these passwords to the account before every single Yahoo email account was hacked.

Judicial Watch has received via FOIA emails that the FBI found on the computer of disgraced former congressman and estranged husband of Hilary aide Huma Abedin.  That Huma forwarded classified emails to the laptop was previously reported, but now Judicial Watch obtained redacted copies of some of the emails, clearly marked classified. This could add to the pressure on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to order the FBI to reopen its investigation of Hillary's server and handling of classified information in light of recent revelations that the FBI investigation may have been predetermined and perfunctory.

The House Intelligence Committee (HPSCI) grilled FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe for seven hours over the dossier published against then-presidential candidate Donald Trump and the FBI's investigation into then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private email server. Unfortunately, he could not give them much information and actually contradicted testimony of former witnesses, which has led the committee to issue new subpoenas.

The recently-released Strzok/Page text messages reveal a pro-Clinton and anti-Trump bias on the part of Strzok and Page that got them removed from their respective positions. The texts made it difficult for them to be seen as part of an objective investigation of the very people for whom they had such strong feelings. And yet the public's trust in the integrity of such investigators rests on the idea that they can, and will, put aside such feelings entirely because most investigators are going to have political opinions and biases.

The July 5,2016 statement by James Comey declining to prosecute Hillary Clinton for her mishandling of classified information never passed the smell test. After Comey spent 15 minutes laying out, in brutal detail, all of Hillary's misdeeds and lies, Comey abruptly determined that no prosecution was warranted because no reasonable prosecutor would bring charges. Yet that wasn't Comey's decision to make as FBI Director, it was a decision for the prosecutors at DOJ.

This past summer, Special Counsel Robert Mueller removed an FBI agent from his investigation into possible collusion between Russia and President Donald Trump's campaign due to anti-Trump messages he sent. The news was only made public over the weekend. This agent, Peter Strzok, is also the man who changed former FBI Head James Comey's description of Hillary Clinton's handling of classified information on her private server when she served as secretary of state. Strzok also served as the No. 2 official in the counterintelligence division and led the investigation into her server.

Disgraced politician Anthony Weiner has reported to the Federal Medical Center Devens in Massachusetts to start his 21-month prison sentence he received for sexting with a minor. Weiner spent his last day of freedom with his father Morton at his Manhattan apartment. His brother Jason dropped him off at the prison.

One of the mainstays of then-candidate Trump's campaign rallies was the attendees' "lock her up" chant, a reaction to his campaign promise to "jail crooked Hillary" Clinton. In late November of last year, President Trump shocked many of his supporters by announcing that he would not pursue charges against Hillary Clinton.  Instead, he said he was focused on bringing the country together and helping Hillary "heal." The Guardian reported at the time:
The president-elect told the New York Times on Tuesday that it would be “divisive” to pursue criminal investigations into the former secretary of state over her use of a private email server or conflicts of interest involving her foundation. His conciliatory tone provoked a backlash from some conservatives. “I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t,” Trump said, according to a tweet by Times journalist Mike Grynbaum. “She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways.”

House Judiciary Committee Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) have announced an investigation into the handling of the Hillary Clinton email scandal by the FBI and Department of Justice. The two committees will also investigate why the FBI didn't announce its investigation into then-GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign associates. From The Washington Examiner:
The probe will be conducted by two congressional panels responsible for overseeing the Justice Department and government operations in general. The investigators will review then-FBI Director James Comey's various decisions pertaining to the Clinton investigation, such as his unusual announcement that she should not face indictment.
