Trump Urges DOJ to Investigate Huma Abedin After Report She Forwarded State Dept Passwords to Personal Yahoo Account

President Donald Trump tweeted that failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s former aide Huma Abedin should face jail after reports have emerged she sent State Department passwords to her personal Yahoo account.

The Daily Caller reported on Monday that Abedin sent these passwords to the account before every single Yahoo email account was hacked.

Abedin worked as Hillary’s top aide when the latter served as secretary of state.

The State Department released these documents after officials found them on disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner’s laptop, Abedin’s ex-husband. Abedin filed for divorce from Weiner after numerous sexting scandals. The last one, which happened in 2016, set off an FBI investigation because Weiner sexted with a minor. This led officials to raid the couple’s home, including the shared computer, which had the emails. Weiner is currently serving a 21-month sentence in jail.

Officials heavily redacted most of the emails because the documents contained classified information. Those marked as classified included emails that “deal with talks between the Palestinian militant movement Hamas and the Palestine Liberation Organization; a call to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu; and conversations with the United Arab Emirates’ foreign ministers.”

An email message about a phone call to Prince Saud al-Faisal of Saudi Arabia, who served as the country’s foreign minister, had a small trace of redactions. The November 2010 email had “talking points about Wikileaks’ impending release of documents leaked by former Army Pvt. Bradley Manning.”

The Daily Caller noted that Abedin “regularly forwarded work emails to her personal [email protected] address.” The FBI report stated that Abedin resorted to these accounts if her State account didn’t work or print off a document. The Daily Caller continued:

Abedin sent passwords for her government laptop to her Yahoo account on Aug. 24, 2009, an email released by the State Department in September 2017 shows.

Long-time Clinton confidante Sid Blumenthal sent Clinton an email in July 2009 with the subject line: “Important. Not for circulation. You only. Sid.” The message began “CONFIDENTIAL… Re: Moscow Summit.” Abedin forwarded the email to her Yahoo address, potentially making it visible to hackers.

The email was deemed too sensitive to release to the public and was redacted before being published pursuant to the Judicial Watch lawsuit. The released copy says “Classified by DAS/ A/GIS, DoS on 10/30/2015 Class: Confidential.” The unredacted portion reads: “I have heard authoritatively from Bill Drozdiak, who is in Berlin…. We should expect that the Germans and Russians will now cut their own separate deals on energy, regional security, etc.”

These were not the only sensitive documents Abedin sent to her Yahoo account:

Clinton forwarded Abedin an email titled “Ambassadors” in March 2009 from Denis McDonough, who served as foreign policy adviser to former President Barack Obama’s campaign and later as White House chief of staff. The email was heavily redacted before being released to the public.

Stuart Delery, chief of staff to the deputy attorney general, sent a draft memo titled “PA/PLO Memo” in May 2009, seemingly referring to two Palestinian groups. The content was withheld from the public with large letters spelling “Page Denied.” Abedin forwarded it to her Yahoo account.

Abedin routed sensitive information through Yahoo multiple times, such as notes on a call with the U.N. secretary-general, according to messages released under the lawsuit.

News of Yahoo hacks built up during Hillary’s term as secretary of state, but Abedin continued to use her account.

Here’s another coincidence. The U.S. charged Russian intelligence agent Igor Sushchin with a Yahoo hack that affected 500 million accounts. It started in 2014 and the hackers went into the accounts in 2015 and 2016.

Sushchin also worked for Renaissance capital…the Russian bank that paid President Bill Clinton $500,000 for a speech in Moscow in June 2010…during the Uranium One deal. You know, all this talk about Russia and Trump, but I see a lot of Russia in stories about the Clintons, too.

If T-rump’s handlers can get him to STFU, there might be a good chance of going after Hellary’s underlings.

It does give (progressive) judges reason to completely void any court action. I mean, the President telegraphs that he is not going to pardon Huma so that leaves her no free pass out of prison if convicted. But Rags..they would find anything to say he is prejudicial. With Deep State this may be the only “outing” any of these characters gets anyway.

Ragspierre in reply to alaskabob. | January 2, 2018 at 5:29 pm

Any good judge is going to have to look at T-rump’s blathering as poisonous to a fair trial.

        Morris says:

“Any good judge is going to have to look at T-rump’s blathering as poisonous to a fair trial.”

Really? How come I did not hear that during the Zimmerman Trial?

I would like to think we can find a jury pool educated enough to see the truth. It is a BS defense and you know it. That is a liberal progs playbook. Glad to see you follow it well.

          Lying Idiot Alt-right racist…

          I called the Zimmerman case.

          You’re lying.

          Another time.

MarkSmith in reply to MarkSmith. | January 3, 2018 at 3:38 pm

“You called the Zimmerman case?” Really? You said that since Obama made the statement that “Martin could have been his son” would taint the jury pools? Sure!

You did not call anything. Jacobin Morris, the Resist Uniparty troll calls it! Ha, I love it.

Hopefully, President Trump will induce apoplexy in Rags by tweeting something like “You know, we’re supposed to have “equal treatment under the law”. If we can’t prosecute Hillary and Huma, we shouldn’t be able to prosecute lesser offenders. Pardons for the lesser offenders seems appropriate.”

Much to be hoped for. Not to be expected.

    Mac45 in reply to Ragspierre. | January 2, 2018 at 5:34 pm

Trump is playing a political game with these tweets about Hillary and Huma. It does not matter, politically, if they are ever convicted. But, Trump has set up the establishment in three ways. If Abedin is not indicted, he claims that the Establishment fix is in. If she is charged and some judge drops the charges claiming that Trump’s tweets make it impossible for her to secure a fair trial, he screams that the Establishment fix is in. If she is found not guilty, after the plethora of evidence proving her guilt, he screams that the Establishment fix was in. And, if she is convicted, rightly, he screams that Hillary should be next as she did the same thing. And it will be impossible for anyone to effective argue differently. So, no matter what happens, Trump wins.

      Ragspierre in reply to Mac45. | January 2, 2018 at 5:39 pm

      T=rump’s DADDY WAS “the establishment”.

Why is it relevant that Trump may have been a member of the Establishment but not that Cruz was and still is?

Trump is only anti-Establishment if the Establishment gets in the way of his agenda. He is not an ideologue. He is a pragmatist. He will ally himself with anyone that he has to in order to achieve his goals and progress his agenda.

alaskabob in reply to Ragspierre. | January 2, 2018 at 6:50 pm

Considering the amount of abuse staffers for Hillary have been reported to have withstood to serve her whether at the White House, the senate or campaign, it isn’t hard to see them taking the rap to protect her. Call it a Stockholm Syndrome or taking one for the cause but their allegiance appears firm. It appears the DNC hack came from within their network at a time Bernie was getting the shaft… so Rags… was Seth Rich just a robbery gone bad and you can absolutely attest to that?

Ragspierre in reply to alaskabob. | January 2, 2018 at 7:05 pm

I can absolutely attest to absolutely flucking nothing.

But I don’t allude to Seth Rich. At no time, under no circumstance.

Of course it’s completely ignored by the idiots that in all this time the DOJ has done SFA to prosecute anyone with Clinton ties!

Now the President makes it impossible for the swamp to ignore this any longer. It is brilliant tactics by Trump though. The swamp does nothing and he uses that as proof of how corrupt they are. If the swamp does something and a liberal appointed judge finds her not guilty he uses that as evidence if how morally and ethically corrupt the swamp is. If the swamp hang, draws and quarters huma trump used that as evidence of his awesomeness!!

Given that I have a cynical, nasty, suspicious mind…

…did Huma put the classified State Department account passwords into her personal Yahoo account KNOWING that they would be ‘hacked’ — that is, revealed to others?

If you give your password to Boris Badanov, that’s a high felony crime. Going to be hard for your pals in the deep state to ignore that one.

If you “accidentally” leave it in your Yahoo account and Boris “hacks” it, well that might just be a shame and nothing more, particularly if your pals in the deep state run the DoJ.

Again, I have a cynical, nasty, suspicious mind…

    tom_swift in reply to stevewhitemd. | January 2, 2018 at 6:09 pm

I wouldn’t say that’s cynical, nasty, or suspicious … the word I’d use is obvious.

Arminius in reply to stevewhitemd. | January 3, 2018 at 9:43 am

When you get access to classified information you get a briefing about protecting it. And if you’re not secretary of state, just a normal person, you get annual training.

And only Hillary Clinton can get away with I DON’T REMEMBER IT.

    But I digress.

Yes, Huma Abedin had to know. Maybe her Muslim Sisterhood mother suggested it.

Arminius in reply to stevewhitemd. | January 3, 2018 at 9:48 am

    “…Again, I have a cynical, nasty, suspicious mind…”

You’d make a good counter intel guy.

The U.S. later charged Russian intelligence agent Igor Sushchin with hacking 500 million Yahoo email accounts. The initial hack occurred in 2014 and allowed his associates to access accounts into 2015 and 2016 by using forged cookies. Sushchin also worked for the Russian investment bank Renaissance Capital, which paid former President Bill Clinton $500,000 for a June 2010 speech in Moscow.

Is this really a stretch ?

Sheesh. If I was going after Huma and Hillary, I would not use a public forum. Instead, I would have my case made and ready for trial before serving the indictment.

It’s gotta tough to be AG Sessions and having to deal with Donald.

It’ll be nice to see H & H go down but the real prize will be Comey. Hubris vs Karma. Podesta would also make for a fine banquet.

Meanwhild, F’n Trump. He is the way he is and it’s nice to see somebody from outside the system ignoring the tyrants that have become the system.

The nice thing about a Yahoo email account is you never have to wonder if you’ve ever been compromised. You just know, for sure, that you have been.

But hey, hasn’t Marissa Mayer done a FABULOUS job turning Yahoo around? Look at the hundreds of millions she’s made, because of “muh wymin in stem!” or something.

I give her more credit that Ginni Rometty who ruined IBM with the PWC purchase and carry forward Sam’s crash burn policies to have the stock devalued by 25% and gross revenue fall by the same amount.

Back on point, Yahoo been in crash and burn since Google has controlled the world.

Sadly, I had hopes on Netscape to take us to the next level but instead iPlanet (Netscape Sun failure) did them in. iPlanet actually had a decent web crawler.

I am forever grateful for the Mozilla off shoot of open source.

Back on track, Huma is going down. I am looking forward to the next couple of months. Question is, does she turn on Hillary? With kids and ex-dad in jail, she might. Or she might just fleet back to her an Islamic and Middle Eastern connections.

Blaise MacLean | January 2, 2018 at 7:25 pm

Why is Trump “urging” the DOJ to conduct that investigation? He is the President. The Executive. The DOJ works for him. Why doesn’t he “direct” them to investigate, or have the AG order it? He seems to forget that he is in charge. I don’t get him on this.

MarkSmith in reply to Blaise MacLean. | January 2, 2018 at 9:53 pm

Well according to the Washington Post:

Asked if Trump was urging the Justice Department to investigate Abedin, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders replied: “The facts of that case are very disturbing. The president wants to make clear that he doesn’t feel that anyone should be above the law. In terms of any investigation, that would be something the Department of Justice would need to decide.”

But then if you look at all the lib. progs insiders, the only why to expose that inner circle is to do exactly what he did. With exposure on the targets, they can’t let it slide. We are now watching.

As for “Urging” that is the liberal wording. Add that to the fake news headlines. Google “Trump urgers” and every comment he makes is “urging”.

The headlines should read Trump Urges everyone to have a Merry Christmas, too. No, you get instead:

” In a pro-Trump town, they never stopped saying ‘Merry Christmas’.”

Congrats, you have been sucked in to the media frenzy.

You’re forgetting the titanic corruption inside our government and our media.

Swamp Sessions is going down, but not just yet.

tom_swift in reply to Blaise MacLean. | January 2, 2018 at 11:28 pm

Trump is using the electronic version of Teddy’s “Bully Pulpit”. It’s not enough to lead; someone has to follow or all is for naught. And they won’t follow unless prodded, and then prodded some more. So the President has to both lead and prod. Not an easy job. Trump seems to think he can do it with—among other things—tweets. So far, indications are that he may well be right. But it’s a long slog, and we’ve barely started.

Raghead the moby was come completely unhinged. Once he appears comments on this blog become incoherent and unreadable.
