When a guillotine was placed in front of Amazon boss Jeff Bezos's house, the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) approved of the display: "We are completely frightened by, completely impressed by and completely in support of wherever this is headed. #Solidarity." But did the union use the royal we? Some CTU members went off on Twitter.

My heart breaks for the families who were under lockdown as rioters broke windows and doors of the Chicago Ronald McDonald House. They are only there because they have a child in intensive care. To deal with that on top of it all? Unimaginable.

The War on Statues is not new. In 2017, RebelPundit filmmakers Jeremy Segal and Andrew Marcus followed Chicago community organizer, Paul McKinley, on a tour of the south side neighborhood, Washington Park, where they find local residents opposed to a pastor's calls to remove George Washington's name and statue from the park.

In the absence of elected leadership and in the face of police standing by and watching looting in Chicago, Latin gangs are protecting their local businesses and running would be looters out of their neighborhoods.  It's hard to fault them for it, but do we really want street gangs acting as law enforcement?
