Biden Border Crisis: Illegal Migrants in Chicago Being Housed in Police Stations

The city of Chicago has become so overwhelmed with illegal border crossers that some of them are now living in police stations, sleeping on the floor.
Is this compassionate, or sustainable for that matter?

Police stations in Chicago are now having to become homeless shelters for processed and released migrants who made it to the city due to the lack of space as a result of the growing number of people coming from the U.S.-Mexico border.
Pictures on Twitter shows the lobbies of the police stations full of people sleeping on the ground.
This is the 24th district Chicago Police station lobby located near Clark and Devon.
This is inhumane.
This is a lack of planning.

Chicago’s response to a growing immigrant crisis has turned police stations into makeshift shelters where asylum seekers have been provided with expired meal rations and where infections and infestations are a common problem.
Outgoing Mayor Lori Lightfoot has taken aim at Greg Abbott, the Republican governor of Texas who has been sending immigrants to Chicago and other sanctuary cities as a response to President Joe Biden’s border policies. In an open letter Sunday, Lightfoot told Abbott that her administration was aware he planned to resume busing immigrants to Chicago and other cities on Monday, noting that 8,000 have already been sent here since August.
“Nearly all the migrants have been in dire need of food, water and clothing, and many needed extensive medical care,” she wrote. “Some of the individuals you placed on buses were women in active labor, and some were victims of sexual assault. None of these urgent needs were addressed in Texas.”
But with resources exhausted and limited shelter beds available in Chicago, immigrants who have been sent here have been sleeping and eating meals on the floors of police stations in recent weeks…
John Catanzara, the fiery president of the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police, said bed bugs have been “a consistent issue.” There also has been a lice problem at the Near West District and cases of chicken pox at the Shakespeare District, according to Catanzara, who said it’s “improper” to use police buildings and resources to house immigrants.
This will be part of Biden’s legacy, and he will not be remembered well for it.

Soldier Field should be available at this time of the year. Put up some tents and they can use the locker rooms for showers and restrooms.
Put a few in each city Alderman’s homes alng with Beetlejuice’s home.
Downtown office buildings should be available due to disuse.
As for LIghtweight Lori should can go piss up a rope when it comes to Abbott shipping illegals to sanctuary cities. You were all for this before you started feeling the pain.
Not for nothing but they got all sorts of available athletic fields that folks could put a tent on in spring summer, including a couple baseball fields. If they were serious about housing these folks then Chicago would ask for a bunch of GP medium tents and cots and put them up alongside some shower trailers and porta potty trailers. Instead they dump them on the PD.
Note the top photo and how the feet sticking out of bed are clad in new, perfectly clean cotton socks, new sandals and flip-flops. Everyone is scrubbed up, fed and healthcared.
Why give these illegal invaders anything? Not a dime. Let them sleep in parks and watch them freeze their asses in November. We these invaders nothing.

This will save on transportation expense when they are booked on rape and murder.
The solution, of course, is very simple. Chicago needs a lottery once a year to determine which residents will house a family of immigrants for the next 12 months. I don’t think that’s too much to ask since Chicago is a Sanctuary City

I would wager most in that room, if they voted in 2020, voted for Biden. I know a lot of suburban liberals were outraged by Trumps attempt to close the border and build the wall. They were all on social media proudly displaying their “Hate has no home here” and “No one is illegal here” signs on their front lawn. All those folks and their signs seemed to have disappeared. Nothing but crickets now.
