2020 Democratic Primary Tag

Then-president Obama's Iran Nuclear Deal was widely condemned on the right and by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who referred to the deal as a "bad" and "very bad deal."  One of then-candidate Trump's campaign promises was to extract the the U.S. from this very bad deal, and he did so in the second year of his presidency. Much to the chagrin of Democrats, the DNC, and the former Obama administration, this withdrawal from the Iran deal has been far more successful in stopping Iran from obtaining nuclear capabilities and from sponsoring worldwide terrorism than the original, bad deal was sold to accomplish.

Elizabeth Warren has tried desperately to keep herself in the news cycle, as newcomers like Beto, and possible contenders like Joe Biden, dominate the campaign coverage. Even fresh-face "Mayor Pete" is getting better coverage than Warren. Warren's tactic is to roll out every couple of days a big, nation-changing plan, like breaking up big tech. It doesn't seem to have helped her at all in the polls, where she is unable to break out of the single-digit pack.

Anyone who has been awake knows that Joe Biden has a problem with touching and nuzzling women in public in a very creepy manner. It's why the nickname "Creepy Uncle Joe" could be for him what "crooked Hillary," "low energy Jeb" or "little Marco" were for other Trump opponents should Biden run for president and get the Democrat nomination. We saw if when he rubbed the shoulders of Ashton Carter's wife in full camera view:

What Beto O'Rourke lacks in policy chops, he seems to make up for in fundraising abilities. During the 2018 midterms he amassed a war chest of $80 million dollars. After officially launching his 2020 presidential bid, he raked in over $6 million in 24 hours. Now Beto has attracted some of Obama's top funders and a former Obama aide.

Axios reported this morning that former Vice President Joe Biden's closest advisors said that he may consider Stacey Abrams, the woman who lost the Georgia governor race, as his vice president. From Axios:
Why it matters: The popular Georgia Democrat, who at age 45 is 31 years younger than Biden, would bring diversity and excitement to the ticket — showing voters, in the words of a close source, that Biden "isn't just another old white guy."

Stan Herd is a crop artist. Using land, dirt, and plants he creates incredible masterpieces. His latest work of art features a mug of failed Texas Senate Candidate and former Congressman, Beto O'Rourke. Revealed the same day Beto announced his presidential candidacy, the crop circle will remain intact for the remainder of the week.

I wouldn't call our Founding Fathers perfect, but man did they leave us one of the greatest documents penned in the English language. Their brilliance provided America not only with the Bill of Rights, but with the Electoral College. Grumbles about the Electoral College have existed for a long time, but after President Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, its elimination shot to the top of the Democrats list of issues in their campaigns. Sen. Elizabeth Warren proclaimed her wish to abolish the Electoral College at a recent town hall, but I don't think she's given it much thought to the mess this would create.

The Washington Examiner reported Monday night that Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand kept a man on her payroll three months after he resigned in 2017 due to a sexual harassment claim against him. This happened a year before one aide resigned due to Gillibrand mishandling her sexual harassment claim against another top aide. Gillibrand also kept that aide on her payroll.
