The history of Israel since its rebirth in 1948 has been littered with numerous brutal acts of terror and bloodshed against its citizens and defenders. One such act engraved in the country's collective memory is the horrific lynching of two of its soldiers by a bloodthirsty Palestinian mob exactly twenty years ago.

NY Times columnist Bret Stephens, regularly reviled by liberal NY Times readers much as was the resigned Bari Weiss, has written a masterpiece takedown of the NY Times' 1619 Project.

The 1619 Project is the Times' attempt to manipulate and recast history to mark the start of the United States as 1619, when the first chattel slave ship arrived. In the Times' rendering, everything of importance emanates from that event and from slavery.

As we move closer to the November 3, 2020 presidential election, more and more Americans are "tuning in."  Not everyone follows politics as closely as we and our readers do here at LI, so it's not unusual for people to first think about a presidential election sometime in October and to be influenced by what they see when they finally "tune in."

Two months before the 2016 presidential election, an anonymously published essay titled "The Flight 93 Election" urged Americans to "charge the cockpit" by casting their votes for Donald Trump. The author of that seminal piece, Michael Anton, has followed up that pivotal essay with a gripping analysis about the tactics of the left and the consequences to the country if it prevails.

Democrats and their media cohorts are scrambling to figure out what to do about Joe Biden's self-inflicted court packing problem. Biden, as we noted yesterday, not only asserted that American voters "don't deserve" to know where he stands on court packing but made the absurd statement that Republicans are "court packing" by lawfully filling an open seat on the Supreme Court.  A move Biden ludicrously claims is "not constitutional."

Swedish 'climate activist' Greta Thunberg on Saturday threw her support behind Democratic candidate Joe Biden as the presidential election enters its final leg. "Just get organized and get everyone to vote Biden," the 17-year-old activist told her four million followers on Twitter.

The 2020 presidential debate process has been a train wreck. The first debate with Chris Wallace of FOX News was terrible, largely due to Wallace himself who, at times, argued with Trump more than Biden did. Then Steve Scully, the moderator of the second debate came under scrutiny for anti-Trump bias. The second debate has been cancelled as Scully's Twitter account is being investigated for a supposed hacking that's about as believable as the investigation of Joy Reid's old blog.
