Democrats/Media Deploy Same “Eliminationist Narrative” Against School Parents As They Did Against Tea Party

Democrats/Media Deploy Same “Eliminationist Narrative” Against School Parents As They Did Against Tea Party

Nothing has changed, other than the names and faces. The media still plays the role of creating false narratives that ordinary law-abiding Americans who oppose liberals are dangerous and prone to violence.

Merrick Garland disgracefully weaponized DOJ/FBI and national law enforcement against parents protesting Critical Race teaching and mask mandates. This pure political intimidation.

The mainsteam media also is running with the false claim pushed by the National School Boards Association that the protests are the “equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.” In Rhode Island, the statewide school committee association is gathering information about protests and promising to coordinate with the FBI.

We have seen this movie before. It’s the “eliminationist narrative” used against the Tea Party and Trump supporters. We covered the Tea Party false accusations at the time, where the media blamed every act of violence on Tea Party supporters even though such claims never had evidence and turned out to be false. Here’s what we previously documented:

I covered the media mistreatment of the Tea Party starting in 2009, and the same pattern took hold: An act or alleged act of violence immediately was blamed on Tea Party supporters in the absence of actual evidence that the alleged perpetrator was a Tea Party supporter, and in many cases where there was evidence the alleged perpetrator was liberal or leftist.

It all was for the purpose of portraying Tea Party supporters specifically and the “right-wing” more generally as “eliminationist,” people who were prone to political violence:

It started with Bill Sparkman, the part-time Census worker who went missing and then was found dead, setting off an avalanche of mainstream media and left-blogosphere accusations that he was the victim of anti-government “right-wing” hate.  It turned out that Sparkman killed himself, but there were few if any apologies coming.

The Sparkman accusations were based on nothing more than a desire to demonize the newly formed and rapidly growing Tea Party movement as terrorists and un-American.  It was as if they were hoping for an act of Tea Party violence.

The false eliminationist narrative directed at the Tea Party went on for years, aided and abetted by Democrat operative groups like Think Progress and by establishment Republicans who hated the Tea Party.

The prolonged — to this day — attempt to blame Sarah Palin for the shooting of Gabby Giffords by Jared Loughner was one of the worst examples, but just one of many that we covered.

In each of these cases, when the hoax or false narrative was exposed, the mainstream media no longer was around, they had moved on, leaving the false perception that Tea Party supporters were dangerous and violent.

Nothing has changed, other than the names and faces. The media still plays the role of creating false narratives that ordinary law-abiding Americans who oppose liberals are dangerous and prone to violence.

The same tactic was used against Trump supporters.

I could write the same story now. In fact, I will:

Nothing has changed, other than the names and faces. The media still plays the role of creating false narratives that ordinary law-abiding Americans who oppose liberals are dangerous and prone to violence.

If the leftists don’t get the acts of violence they’re looking for from understandably concerned parents, they will simply manufacture crises to suit their narrative.

And shame on us for letting someone else do for us what we could be doing to much more effective ends on our own.

Begs the question — Why does the RNC allow the DNC controlled media to brand their members are lunatic fringe ? Why doesn’t RNC have 100 people employed to counter the bullshit propaganda and call them out for lies and slander ?

RNC is either asleep or complicit.

Maybe RNC is not the right entity to expose this – but someone has to organize to push back. THey could at least help people to do that. But they don’t. They lose the battle before the first shot is fired because they don’t show up.

“RNC is either asleep or complicit.”

I vote for option c) All of the above.

The RNC is a private club which advances the self-interests of its wealthiest donors. As such, there is a somewhat longer term view that incorporates the middle class and upwardly mobile; capitalism requires these groups. But, Republicans do not invest long term.

However, unlike the demonrats, Republicans are not interest in social movements; they are interested in the national economy.

Much akin to private sector unionists who vote Republican (because they live off a healthy economy) but rarely support conservative candidates, the Republican Party and its leadership are not going to opine on social issues until they determine the economic impact on their fortunes. (E.G., support for big pharma.)

What Republicans apparently refuse to acknowledge is that “government” at all levels is simply too great a share of the economy. Thus in general witness the short-term focus of Republicans, which has increasingly become fundamental to its political actions over the last 40 – 60 years. And, a willing “blind eye” toward the fact that the demonrats have abandon all private sector workers union or not in favor of the government unions which not only control local and state demonrat party committees but also Republican committees in demonrat states.

The simple fact appears to be that as with demonrats most Republicans are immoral whores for power and the money which evidences that power.

One need look no further than Ronna McDaniel (Romney’s niece) and realize that Romney a sociopath who Bill Bain perfected is a far larger influence than his popularity would suggest he should be.

When have they ever really led??? They just try to out front on issues the popular with the people.

Danny in reply to Ben Kent. | October 12, 2021 at 3:02 am

Why are you spamming in favor of Nancy Pelosi Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden???

RNC does try to counter the narratives the problem is it doesn’t own the entire media, entertainment industry academia etc the DNC owns all of that stuff.

Your idea for countering our lack of power is to take away power we have and end up with even less power.

You truly are Chuck Schumer’s special little agent.

“It is the common fate of the indolent [*] to see their rights become a prey to the active [**]. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude [***] is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt.” John Philpot Curran (1750- 1817).

In other words, fight-&-defend or all those hard-earned rights or they’ll be taken without a moment’s notice. And as recent evidence, look at how governors and their staffs acted during the COVID-19 lockdown.

* The indolent – those who may complain but yet won’t take action

** The active – experience has taught that the left has a never-ending list of stupid, freedom-depriving ideas; the left will NEVER leave us alone. Green New Deal; elimination of 1st Am., 2d Am., mail-in voting, shut-down orders, and on and on

*** Servitude – comes in a variety of forms, from detention (jail, stay-at-home orders) to economic deprivation via regulations (which always result in bigger government, higher prices for goods/services and greater unemployment) to increased taxation

They only have about 3 plays in their playbook. Everyone of them starts with the word “Attack!”

They may have gotten away with this to some extent with the Tea Party.

But now they’re messing with people’s kids. They’re dealing with parents concerned and angry about their kids being politically indoctrinated in public schools. Angry about they’re kids being told they were born racist and privileged and they’ll have to work hard to overcome that. And that their parents are racist and privileged white supremacists. Angry about teaching kids to not only hate their country but also their parents.

Want to light a fire under parents? Just start messing with their kids. Then try to sic the FBI on them and label them domestic terrorists.

Then hope you can either keep them from voting or have enough fraudulent votes in your pocket that it doesn’t matter.

The hubris and arrogance of Marxists knows no bounds. And they do not give up power peacefully.

It is becoming more and more obvious the Left wants to provoke violence from the right before the midterms. They are not planning to give up power. They’ll do whatever they have to do to keep it. Just as they did whatever they had to do to get it in Nov., 2020. If they have to declare one or more national emergencies to rig another election, or suspend elections, they will do it.

“But now they’re messing with people’s kids.”

The government monopoly bureaucratic “public” school indoctrination system has been “messing with people’s kids” for 50 to 100 years. The response from the vast majority of parents has been “thanks for warehousing my kids for free”.

A few have been noticing this recently, but many of those simply want to replace the people currently in charge with themselves.

JusticeDelivered in reply to JHogan. | October 7, 2021 at 8:23 pm

Parents are going to be a far larger group than the Tea Party. Picking a fight with ever larger numbers of people is not a good political move.

Danny in reply to JHogan. | October 12, 2021 at 3:06 am

They are just using the same dehumanization they did on the Tea Party before losing the 2010 elections as the professor has highlighted in this very article.

No arrogance (in assuming public is on our side already) or hyperbole (exaggerating what the left is doing what they are actually doing is bad enough) we are in a 0 margin for error political fight.

Get your kids out of government indoctrination centers!

It’s a bit worse than this.

The unwillingness of the FBI and various city / county / state prosecutors to go after BLM / Antifa terrorists has long since crossed the line of prosecutorial discretion. It is blatantly sanctioning the violence they perpetrate. This is the Soros vision. This is why he funded those prosecutor races. This is why they are paying the agitators.

I’m watching case after case of prosecutors going after cops doing their jobs. I’m watching the state make it impossible for anyone sane to hold those jobs (I wonder if they plan to bring their own brand of LEOs in eventually USSR style).

This story gets uglier the further it goes.

In the next few weeks, our state will purge hundreds and possibly thousands of workers for not getting the vax. You know damn well this falls along idealogue lines… and that is totally by design. Dissenters must be purged. History has shown us this movie before.

Milhouse in reply to Andy. | October 7, 2021 at 1:37 am

In the next few weeks, our state will purge hundreds and possibly thousands of workers for not getting the vax. You know damn well this falls along idealogue lines…

Well, no, it doesn’t. It’s well known that the main demographic refusing the vaccine is blacks. Who almost all vote Democrat. In addition, government employees overwhelmingly vote Democrat. So no, the purge will hit their own people more than it will ours.

henrybowman in reply to Milhouse. | October 7, 2021 at 4:59 am

I think maybe not. Blacks and government employees refusing the vaccine are doing so because they still have a choice. The minute their jobs depend on them getting it, very, very few will make the cost/benefit tradeoff in the direction of continued resistance. You’re not going to see continued, gonzo, damn-the-torpedoes resistance from them that you will from the white constitutionalists, religionists, and skeptics of government.

Wa is 4% black. So no, these aren’t black people who will be purged. I said ideological lines, not party lines. These are people who care about liberty and don’t want the government forcing these kinds of actions. They may have even voted democrat, but funny how when it comes to your own body, your own money, your own rights, people have ideas which are different than how they might have voted.

They may or may not be Democrat, but Inslee does not want these people in his government. This is a purge of wrong thinkers, don’t have any illusions it’s anything but that.

With “our” government officially naming ex-military and police as the top threats for domestic terrorism, where does everyone think they will find the troops to enforce all of these new mandates?

Hello Paris! Paris is now planning to raid their banlieus to break up these domestic terrorist mini-cities of “refugees”. In contrast, are we helping getting them organized to replace our police? Is this what the effort to nationalize our Capitol Police is about? Is the plan to shepherd us all into the FEMA camps that are everywhere but never seem to get used?

it’s past the time for good men(and women)to do nothing–get involved

The transformation of the d/progressive away from it’s history of Jefferson’s ideal of a strong and vibrant yeomanry buttressed with small local shopkeepers coupled with Jackson’s brand of populism and resistance to the creation or perpetuation of a overpowering national elite seems just about finished. They have become the party of the academy, the financiers and rent seeking corporations and NGOs.

It’s long past time to openly ask your local school board member where they stand on these issues. Press them them if they fail to respond, if they still don’t respond, implicate them and make it clear that silence equals endorsement.
Openly campaign against those in those against them, openly campaign against school levies

Abolish government schools.

The legacy media hates and is an inability and unwillingness to talk to and with Americans who reject the woke view on any issue ranging from race to gender to science.

The best cure we could do for the fascistic mega corporations with a job to dehumanize (aka mainstream media) is pro-free speech regulation of big tech as common carriers with no more right to curate and distinguish as Verizon or AT&T,

Right now censorship is returning power back to mainstream media, which declined after it defeated the Tea Party but is coming back thanks to Big Tech censorship.

There is no free market sollution.

Suppose a Polish Youtube managed to start getting traction in Poland (meaning Jeff Bezos can’t turn it off the moment it starts to challenge google).

Wonderful, now in 20 years it might get the content that would make it a true challenger we could wait an entire generation to start fighting yes?

There is no middle ground, if we don’t start pushing free-speech regulations Big Tech will continue to cave more and more to Democrats (because ya know they are not morons. If Republicans are fine with being censored and Democrats demand more censorship….) and the dehumanizing media will get more and more powerful.
