Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire testified before the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday morning. He answered questions to the best of his ability over the whistleblower report on the phone call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The House committee released the whistleblower's unclassified report this morning.

The Justice Department Office of Legal Counsel determined that the whistleblower on the phone call with President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky did not present an "urgent concern" nor do officials have to hand over the account to Congress. The intelligence community inspector general also discovered the whistleblower "showed indications of 'political bias' and was 'in favor of a rival candidate'" of Trump's. Despite that conclusion, the House and Senate have the whistleblower's account.

This past September 17, a white Saint Paul, MN, police officer shot and killed Ronald Davis, a black male. Within five days, organized protests took place against police brutality, complete with professionally printed signs and “Stop Killing People of Color” banners. This is how a “news” (actually propaganda) source, that self-identifies as focusing on “the People’s Struggle," described the shooting:
31-year-old Ronald Davis was a father, recently married, and had just graduated school. After allegedly bumping his vehicle into the back of a cop car, he stepped out of his vehicle and Mattson gunned him down.

For months, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has tap-danced around the issue of whether or not her Medicare for All plan would raise taxes on the middle class. She's sidestepped the question when asked about it at debates and she's refused to directly address the issue when asked about it during post-debate interviews.

President Donald Trump released the transcript of his phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that took place on July 25 from 9:03 AM to 9:33 AM. It shows that he asked Zelensky for a review on Vice President Joe Biden's family dealings in Ukraine. However, Trump did not threaten to withhold "military aid as part of a quid-pro-quo, as Democrats have suggested in pressing forward with impeachment."

The British Supreme Court has ruled Prime Minister Boris Johnson's decision to suspend the country's parliament for five weeks "unlawful, void and of no effect." The verdict paves the way for the UK House of Commons to reconvene tomorrow. Johnson, who was in New York for a United Nations summit at the time of the court ruling, promised to respect the top court's decision but "strongly disagreed" with it. He also reiterated his commitment to take his country out of the EU by the end of the next month.

There have been many strange motions and actions in the Gibson's Bakery v. Oberlin College case. A post-trial motion by Oberlin College to unseal Facebook records may be one of the more strange developments, and offers a window into the bitter feelings of college officials. Allyn D. Gibson (Allyn D.) is the grandson of plaintiff Allyn W. Gibson ("Allyn W.") and the son of plaintiff David Gibson. Allyn D., who was not a party in the lawsuit, was the store clerk on duty who caught an Oberlin College student shoplifting.

The Ukraine scandal food fight is about to get a whole lot more interesting. Tuesday, Trump announced via Twitter that he would release the "complete, fully declassified and unredacted transcript of my phone conversation with President Zelensky of Ukraine." In this particular conversation, Trump has been accused of pressuring Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Biden, whose son's company received favorable business dealings with Ukrainians while Biden was in office.
