One of President Donald Trump's campaign promises was to roll back Obama-era regulations and to lift a variety of restrictions put in place by the mammoth bureaucracy that is our federal government. He stated in the lead-up to the 2016 election that he intended to eliminate two regulations for every new one.  To date, the Trump administration is far exceeding that goal, eliminating 13 regulations for every new one.

In 2018, Al Jazeera asked then-Congressional candidate Ilhan Omar about American fears of jihadist terrorism. She told the network that people should fear white men more than jihadist terrorism. Of course, she's not only racially profiling, she's adding the concept of race as a comparison to jihadist terrorism, which is not a "race." It's just fascinating that we're seeing this for the first time now.

The compensatory and punitive damages of $25 million (after reduction for tort reform caps), plus the over $6.5 million in attorney's fees and costs, put Oberlin College almost $32 million in debt to Gibson's Bakery and its owners. Absent some judicial action, the next step would have been for the Gibsons to execute on the judgment, meaning start collecting the money through post-judgment remedies, such as seizing bank accounts and physical property.

Robert Mueller said to the Intelligence Committee that hackers Hillary received a lot of the same behavior from Russian hackers that Trump received:
Asked by Democratic Rep. Jim Himes which candidate Russian hacking was designed to benefit, Mueller answered Trump — but he added “there were instances where Hillary Clinton was subject to much the same behavior.”

Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller testified for over three and half hours in front of the House Judiciary Committee this morning where we learned nothing new. Now Mueller will testify over Volume I of his report in front of the House Intelligence Committee.

Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX) went after Robert Mueller over his conclusion that his team could not exonerate Trump on obstruction of justice:
Giving Mr. Mueller little chance to response, Mr. Ratcliffe said it was inappropriate for a prosecutor to try to exonerate someone. Pressing further, Mr. Ratcliffe asked Mr. Mueller if he could name another instance of the Justice Department stating that someone was not exonerated other than Mr. Trump "I cannot," Mr. Mueller said.
