Israel continues to rollout Hezbollah attack tunnel discoveries, each to much fanfare for the media and diplomats. Although Israeli likely knows about almost all the tunnels, it waits a few days between discoveries in order to maximize the exposure and keep the news cycle going.

The organizers of the Women's March in Chicago have canceled the 2019 march due to the anti-Semitic views of Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory at the national level. The ties to Nation of Islam and hatred of Jews by the leaders is nothing new to us at LI, but since Tablet magazine's investigation, the fallout continues and no one can ignore the truth anymore.

We recently reported that the parents of Otto Warmbier, the college student who died after a year of North Korean imprisonment and torture over a stolen propaganda poster, were seeking more than $1 billion in damages from the rogue nation. A judge has now ruled that the Warmbiers are to receive about half that amount.
An American judge has ruled that Kim Jong Un’s North Korean regime must pay $501 million to the parents of Otto Warmbier after their son died following his time spent in captivity there.

Every year, at Christmas, Palestinian officials, activists, and a host of virulently anti-Israel groups exploit the holiday season for political purposes. As we’ve documented in several prior posts, for years Christmas holiday themes, symbols, and rituals have been continuously appropriated and put into service for anti-Israel propaganda:

They Shall Not Grow Old is a documentary collaboration between the acclaimed director of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the British Imperial War Museum and consists entirely of restored World War I footage from the British trenches with exposition taken from hundreds of hours of recordings of actual war veterans talking about their experiences in the trenches. They Shall Not Grow Old is a rare technical achievement that applies the best of modern post-production. The bookends to Jackson’s documentary are presented in the style of a classic zoetrope in smaller dimensions than the rest of the film. This is important because these two segments represent two vital themes presented of the Great War:  naïveté and denial.

This is an adorable rendition of the nativity story as told by kids. Southland Christian Church asked kids to tell the story of Jesus' birth and then reenacted the story as told by the littles.

This is the time of the year when certain Jews (thinking of you, Julia Ioffe) like to complain about feeling left out of the general merriment. Me, I went to Target a couple of days ago, to return the defective skateboard I'd given my son for Hanukkah.  Having driven in circles looking for parking, I don't feel left out at all.

As a Catholic woman, I am very familiar with the faith-based, charity activities organized by our parish's Knights of Columbus group. I must have missed the memo saying it was a chauvinist, religious cabal intent on creating a pontifical version of "A Handmaid's Tale". It's a good thing US senators Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) are on top of things.

Chinese authorities are cracking down on Christmas celebrations. Several Chinese cities have banned Christmas decorations, with government officials ordering the removal of Christmas trees, lights and bells from shopping malls and offices.
