Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe spoke to the Senate Intelligence Committee today since President Donald Trump fired James Comey as FBI director two days ago. Well, the firing of Comey caused the MSM to go haywire, splashing out reports to heighten conspiracy theories to show the firing was political. For instance, numerous outlets reported the firing came after the FBI requested more resources for its investigation into collusion between Trump and Russia during the campaign. However, McCabe told the committee that he does not know of any requests. Interesting, huh? Even more interesting? The MSM has skimmed over this crucial part of his testimony.

In 2016, The Daily Caller reported how the Department of State under Hillary Clinton provided $13 million to Muhammad Yunus of Bangladesh even though he faced corruption charges after his ousting in 2011 as managing director of Grameen bank. It turns out Yunus also donated between $100,000 to $300,000 to the Clinton Foundation, which regularly "showcased him as a celebrity figure" at foundation functions. Well, on Thursday, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's office spoke with Circa to confirm "Mrs. Clinton called her office in March 2011 to demand that Dr. Muhammed Yunus, a 2006 Nobel Peace prize winner, be restored to his role as chairman of the country’s most famous microcredit bank, Grameen Bank."

It seems like just yesterday that "the resistance" was sure that Trump is the second coming of Hitler. With the firing of James Comey however, Trump has been transformed overnight into Richard Nixon. In the past 24 hours, countless hot takes have been written about this. Here are a few examples. Scott Lehigh writes at the Boston Globe:

The governments of Hungary and Slovakia have filed a case against the EU's refugee distribution plan. "Hungary and Slovakia have accused the EU of negligence and violations with regard to its decision to distribute up to 120,000 refugees across Europe," German newspaper Die Welt reported. Defending his government’s decision to challenge the EU's migrant policy in the European Court of Justice (ECJ), Hungary's Justice Minister Laszlo Trocsanyi told Die Welt, "We have compiled a ten-point list of reasons we believe this decision to be illegal." Minister Trocsanyi criticised EU's plans of redistributing migrants for incentivising illegal immigration. The EU was telling migrants to "go ahead and come to Europe, and we will handle the distribution," Trocsanyi said.

How do you know that Jason Johnson was peddling hyperbole? Because after making his melodramatic statement, he insisted, "that's not hyperbole." On CNN this morning, Johnson—of Univision-owned The Root—speaking of the Comey firing, declared "this is how democracy dies." He said of the current situation that it is "no longer a functioning democracy," adding the obligatory "this is a constitutional and sovereignty crisis." On the same panel, CNN's Ron Brownstein portrayed President Trump as "a president who simply is systematically committed to delegitimizing and undermining any institution that he believes can check or challenge him." Brownstein claimed that "the only question is how does the political system respond? Does it have the will to defend the checks and balances that have constrained the arbitrary exercise of presidential power?"

You may recall our extensive and widely-cite coverage of The Great Oberlin College Racism Hoax of 2013:
A massive racism hoax took place at Oberlin College in February 2013 in which two students made seemingly racist, anti-Semitic and other such posters, graffiti and emails for the purpose of getting a reaction on campus, not because they believed the hostile messages.  At least one of the two was an Obama supporter with strong progressive, anti-racist politics. School officials and local police knew the identity of the culprits, who were responsible for most if not all of such incidents on campus, yet remained silent as the campus reacted as if the incidents were real.  National media attention focused on campus racism at Oberlin for weeks without knowing it was a hoax.

Hanford Nuclear Reservation made plutonium for nuclear weapons for decades and is now the largest depository of radioactive defense waste that must be cleaned. There was an emergency situation at this site in Washington state after a tunnel full of highly contaminated materials collapsed.
Officials say a collapsed patch of ground above the tunnel was larger than first believed. The U.S. Department of Energy said the collapse covered about 400 square feet (37.1 square meters) instead of the 16 square feet (1.4 square meters) first reported.

Back in March, South Korea's Constitutional Court removed President Park Geun-hye due to numerous scandals that surrounded her. Authorities arrested her three weeks later and authorities claimed she "abused the mighty power and position as President to take bribes from companies and infringed upon the freedom of corporate management and leaked important confidential official information." Well, Park was friendly with the U.S. and agreed with our officials on North Korea. Her ouster led to an opportunity for more liberal officials to rise to power who want to take a softer approach on North Korea. That's exactly what happened. Democratic candidate Moon Jae-in won the election yesterday, which may "mean an overhaul for Seoul's policy on North Korea. He even said that he would "visit rival North Korea under the right conditions."

On today's Morning Joe, Mika Brezezinski didn't hesitate to tell Trump spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders "you're actually not telling the truth right now" while discussing the firing of FBI Director James Comey. Mika's jab came in response to Sanders' assertion that everyone—including Scarborough—has come to the same conclusion: that there is no evidence of collusion between the Russians and the Trump campaign.
