What's doing? Palin's appearance on Greta last night certainly leaves the impression she's not running, and the reasons she articulated may very well be what she is thinking, not just cover talk: If someone doesn't deeply want it, they should not run. Chris Christie (regardless of his...

From Caroline Glick, in a must read post: It's my prayer for coming year that US Jewish community will act with the majority of their fellow Americans to defend Israel. What's most stunning is that such a prayer even is needed. Update: I should have pointed out that...

No one could have seen this coming. Via The Telegraph: Diplomatic efforts are under way to revive six-nation talks on the North's nuclear disarmament. South Korea and the United States have held preparatory  discussions with the North since July. But Peter Hughes said senior officials there had told...

At a recent Obama campaign event masquerading as a town hall, an ex-Google executive begged Obama to raise his taxes, to which Obama responded with an Elizabeth Warren-like argument: It turns out the guy was a plant by a group called the Patriotic Millionaires for Fiscal Strength,...

Obama gave a good speech at the U.N. last week, I credited him with that. But his Israel policy still encourages Palestinian intransigence, as evidenced by his demands that Israel cease building new housing units in the Jewish neighborhood of Gilo.  Gilo occupies a strategic hilltop...

On Saturday night Morgan Freeman was the winner of the first ever Saturday Night Card Game Readers' Choice Award, for his rant on the Piers Morgan show about Tea Party racism. Now a Tea Party activist has written Freeman an open letter inviting Freeman to a...

This van was spotted in Clear Brook, Virginia by the husband of frequent commenter DINORightMarie. The van was covered on multiple sides, so we'll split it into two posts.  Here's the full rear view, followed by an enlargement of my favorite: ...

Self-made millonaire or billionaire, and now most hated person at Firedoglake, Ted Leonsis wants Obama to stop with the class warfare: Someone needs to talk our President down off of this rhetoric about good vs. evil; about two classes and math. Our country was founded on the premise...

ABC has an exclusive: video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player Some exclusive. In fact, I ran a post on it earlier this month, Let the Libya “unexpected” consequences begin: Such as a “no fly zone” over all of northern Africa, spreading across the globe, because while we broke Muammar Gaddafi’s...

There has been a ton of speculation that Chris Christie may run for president after his speech at the Reagan Library.  Now that the hype about Perry and Bachmann has dwindled, the first-term NJ Gov would generate a storm of media attention. I would be ecstatic if...

My guess is that none of these dancers has ever been a "working people."  (h/t @jpodhoretz) I would not be surprised to see this troupe at an Aroma Cafe soon.  Hurry up kiddies, rehearsals have started already....

I've been meaning to post about Obama's speech to the Congressional Black Caucus, now famous for its "stop complainin" verbiage: "I expect all of you to march with me and press on.  Take off your bedroom slippers, put on your marching shoes. Shake it off. Stop ...

Sarah Palin justifiably is outraged at the latest Joe McGinniss outrage. In addition to knowing that McGinniss and Random House published lies about her, Palin now has evidence not usually available to libel plaintiffs, in the form of an e-mail obtained by Andrew Breitbart in which...

As CNN reports, and as Kathleen covered yesterday, the Berkeley campus is up in arms over the Berkeley College Republicans' Increase Diversity Bake Sale.  The publicity stunt, scheduled for today,  is intended to show the discrimination inherent in affirmative action by selling cupcakes at different prices based on one's level of "minorityness." While Affirmative Action Bake Sales are old hat, the response by the left provides a perfect opportunity to explain the University of California (UC) left's racial playbook. The UC left has a consistent strategy for converting real or imagined racist incidents into political gain, particularly in the pursuit of  censorship or policies that favor specific identity groups. They portray such incidents as symptoms of a dangerous campus climate, thus requiring  policies to repair a community that is guilty of the crime of being the sort of place where such vicious psychic injuries can be inflicted. Of course, the left only seems to care about hostile campus climates when the identities of the victims and perpetrators fit their narrative of "powerful" groups oppressing weaker ones. As I will show below the fold, these leftists' defense of the often anti-Semitic, terrorist-supporting, and/or illegal activities of the Muslim Student Association puts the lie to any claims that they are pursuing universalistic anti-prejudice goals or are truly concerned about the dangers of a campus climate where hate of any sort flows freely.

While I certainly share Professor Jacobson's skepticism of the GOP's chances with Jewish voters in 2012, like Jennifer Rubin, I also see opportunities for significant growth, particularly if Mitt Romney is our nominee. The AJC poll showed Romney behind Obama by 50% to 32%.  Under the...

Things are so bad people can't even afford to buy bumper stickers anymore. Another installment of the "we're mad as ...

Aternative blog post title:  Why Jews still will vote for Obama, regardless. I know, you have a dream, that one day American Jews will judge political candidates by the content of their character not the "D" or "R" next to their names.  I told you time...

It's one of the top news stories across the web: Pay-by-race bake sale still on. the controversial "Increase Diversity Bake Sale" hosted by the Berkeley College Republicans is still on, the club's president said, despite "grossly misguided comments" and threats aimed at supporters of the University...
