This is bureaucracy at its finest (or worst). With the coronavirus prompting many to stay in their own germy homes, airlines are wasting thousands of gallons of jet fuel flying empty flights in order to hold their flight slots.

Coronavirus has killed a high-profile leader in Iran responsible for the U.S.-designated terrorist group Basij Forces, the Iranian news agency Tasnim confirmed. Mohammad Haj Abolghasem, a senior commander, was known as the 'butcher of Tehran' for his role in the bloody suppression of pro-democracy protests that began in November 2019, the Iranian exile group said.

The media seems intent on proving over and over again that they cannot be trusted. Having botched their sky-is-falling Russia, Ukraine, and the infamous "two scoops" scandal, they are now all-in proclaiming—completely incorrectly—that President Trump called the coronavirus a hoax. He did not. In fact, their response to what Trump actually said demonstrates perfectly the point he was making.
