Just when you thought the Zimmerman case couldn’t get any crazier, here we go.

An amicus curiae brief has been filed in support of a motion to re-try George Zimmerman for second-degree murder. The full brief is embedded at the bottom of this post.  (“Amicus curiae” literally means “friend of the court”, not a...

Those of you who actually have followed the evidence in the Zimmerman case, both before and during trial, know that every aspect of the racial narrative put forth by the Martin family attorneys, Al Sharpton, other agitators, and the media, has either been debunked explicitly or has nothing other than conjecture...

Of course, the two cases bear no resemblance at so many levels.

But Oprah can’t help herself, and debases the memory of Emmett Till by comparing Till’s whistling at a white woman and subsequent beating death to the violence perpetrated by Trayvon Martin upon George Zimmerman who acted in legally justifiable self defense.

Oprah thinks...

So now we have word that the Smithsonian is “eyeing” Trayvon Martin’s hoodie for its new branch, the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

According to the branch’s director Lonnie Bunch:

It became the symbolic way to talk about the Trayvon Martin case…It’s rare that you get one artifact that really...

Look, I want to give Bill Cosby his props. He’s been speaking up courageously for years on the problems within the black community, and he’s gotten a lot of flak for it. It can’t have been easy for him.

Here are some excerpts from the address Cosby gave to the NAACP in...

The fallout of the George Zimmerman trial continues, as one of the trial jurors made some startling admissions during an ABC interview:

The only minority on the all-female jury that voted to acquit George Zimmerman said today that Zimmerman “got away with murder” for killing Trayvon Martin and feels she owes an...

As happens with gratifying frequency, one of the Legal Insurrection commenters today made a great contribution to yesterday’s thread, “When Is Evidence of Your Attacker’s Character Admissible In Court?”

This particular comment was posted by “Edgehopper” (I could tell you his real name, but then I’d have to kill you–let’s just say...

1) The Executioners Demand Justice

Perhaps one of the oddest stories appearing yesterday was Iran’s Mullahs Demand Justice for Trayvon.

According to the semi-official Iranian website Press TV:

I was a guest on Crane Durham”s Nothing But The Truth show on July 15.

We covered a variety of topics related to the George Zimmerman verdict and the aftermath, including threats of federal prosecution and civil lawsuits.

One of the issues we discussed was the false racial narrative of the case perpetuated by the media, a...

There are many lessons to be learned from the media miscoverage of the George Zimmerman shooting of Trayvon Martin.

We’ve dealt repeatedly with the false “hoodie” and racial narratives, the ludicrous audio and video analyses, and the misunderstanding of the role Stand Your Ground played [actually, did not play] in the case.

We’ve...

There’s a reason we stand up for the rights of individuals like George Zimmerman against an overreaching State.

It’s not just about the individual.  It’s about all of us, and the reality that there but for fortune could go you or I.

The highly politicized Department of Justice desperately wants to bring federal charges to placate...
