The youth vote may determine the Democrat Party's destiny, which may not be as majestic as the party hopes. New York Magazine published interviews with 12 young people explaining why they probably won't vote in these midterms. I've seen articles spouting youth enthusiasm for Democrats, but the magazine claimed that "only a third of people ages 18 to 29 say" they plan on casting ballots for the midterms. A few reasons? The big blow failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton took in November 2016. Another feels "like the Democratic Party doesn't really stand for the things" he believes in. One person gets anxious when he has to mail anything.

When then-candidate Donald Trump pointed out that Democrat policies have harmed black Americans and asked them what they have to lose by voting for him, the leftstream media went into full meltdown mode.  The last thing the left wanted then, or want now, is a big shining spotlight on the damage that Democrat policies have inflicted on black Americans for more than half a century.

Not everyone in the entertainment industry is a progressive, but anyone who is even slightly conservative must remain silent for employment purposes. As a result, we only hear from the loudest leftists and they are convinced they're saving the country. Katherine Schaffstall of the Hollywood Reporter frames this story in a way that makes it sound like these celebrities are performing a public service.

Earlier this week, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) outlined the Democrat agenda if the party retakes the House next month. The Democrats need to hold all of their seats and win 23 more in order to take over. Pelosi spoke about the plan to Paul Krugman and said, “If there’s some collateral damage, for some others that don’t share our view, well so be it.”

Democrats are counting on their identity-based coalition to carry them over the finish line this fall but they could be facing a shortfall. According to more than one recent report, Latino voters are not as fired up to vote for them as the left needs them to be.

The false claim that Israel is an 'apartheid' state underpins the intellectual foundations of the BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanctions) movement. The smear actually originated in anti-Zionist campaigns that were initiated by Communist states during the Cold War. Since the 2001 UN conference in Durban, which launched the BDS movement, the comparison of Israel with racist apartheid-era South Africa has also been a key leitmotif of anti-Israel activists.

I fervently hope the reports of increased GOP enthusiasm for the midterms are accurate because there will be a lot on the line as we head to the polls next month. Not only is their entire agenda an unworkable hodge-podge of prohibitively expensive "freebies," but Democrats have made it abundantly clear that they will launch numerous investigations into President Trump with the hope of removing him from office.  Should he be confirmed to the United States Supreme Court later today, we can add Brett Kavanaugh to the list of promised investigations, as well.

Yiddish is a language that has a lot of words that express personality qualities and types, particularly loser types or mean types or conniving types. These words often combine humor with rueful sarcasm and cynical realism about the vagaries of the human condition.
