Alderman Joe Moreno has relented and said he now will allow Chick-fil-A to open in his Chicago ward. Earlier this summer, Moreno had attempted to block the company after decrying president Dan Cathy’s comments in support of traditional marriage.

According to Moreno, he’s giving in because Chick-fil-A has now released a memo...

I’m pleased to announce another fine addition to the College Insurrection team.

Hans Bader of the Competitive Enterprise Institute, an attorney with deep experience in constitutional and higher education issues, has become a contributer to CI.

His first post is The New Liberal Orthodoxy: NYU Unconstitutionally Pressured to Expel Chick-fil-A Over CEO’s Opposition to...

As long-time readers surely know, I have examined the pernicious methodology of the Southern Poverty Law Center in moving from fighting Klan and neo-Nazi groups to fighting for the Democratic Party agenda against conservatives and the Tea Party.

In seeking to justify its hefty salaries, budget and fundraising, SPLC made a very...

Jack Fowler of National Review Online writes about the double standard perpetuated by the media, recently at-play in coverage of the anti-Chick-fil-A activists we videotaped this week.

Fowler points out that if the situation...

I’m not sure on whom this reflects more poorly, Alcee Hastings (D-FL, ex-Judge, 1 of 8 fed officials ever successfully impeached, now sometimes spokesman for your Democratic Party), or HuffPo for actually reporting this nonsense.

But it’s out there, and has been picked up many places, so here you go from HuffPo’s...

I am now willing to classify Anne’s video of the taunting of the street preacher in Chicago as “viral’ now that it has reached over 186,000 views on YouTube.

But I think we can do better.

I happen to know that Anne really was hoping for 250,000 views.  We don’t want to disappoint...

Barack Obama was for gay marriage (pre-presidential campaign), before he was against it (1st presidential campaign), before he was for it (urgent cash call during 2nd presidential campaign).

Did anyone believe Obama was telling the truth when he said he had “evolved” on the subject?  Rather than evolving,

Yesterday, I posted a video of a group of Chick-fil-A “Kiss-In” protesters mocking an elderly homeless street preacher in Chicago on Friday evening. Many commenters have asked for additional information about the man and the scene.

In walking around the small protest area, I saw the homeless man reading the Bible out loud. He was not...

I attended Friday night’s “Kiss-in” protest outside the only Chick-fil-A location in Chicago. The small group of between twenty to thirty protesters gathered outside the restaurant around 7pm. A few same-sex couples took the opportunity to kiss in public, as the protest organizers encouraged attendees to do on their facebook page.

A number of readers have alerted me to this video, which originally was posted on YouTube by Adam Smith, the Chief Financial Officer of medical products maker Vante (via Gateway Pundit):

Why pick on a drive-through window clerk?  The video seemed to capture in minutes the entire bullying methodology of the left.

Needless to say, the reaction...

We’ve seen the Mayors of Boston and Chicago abuse their power to drive a lawful business out of their jurisdictions by threatening to withhold business permits because the founder and President support the definition of marriage as one man – one woman.

When those threats generated an outcry even from many liberals, the same politicians,...
