Public health officials are reporting that Southern California is seeing a a spike in the number of cases of a wind-borne disease that inflames blood vessels and can cause heart failure.
Since the start of the year, 16 kids have been diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, according to the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency. Researchers at the UC San Diego School of Medicine told the agency that twice as many children have been diagnosed compared with previous years.

California Gavin Newsom ended the debacle of the high-speed train between Los Angeles and San Francisco. However, the millions of dollars in savings will not be going back to California's taxpayers. Instead, the governor plans to spend millions of dollars on making the illegal immigrants storming our borders more comfortable when they arrive.

Lawyer Michael Avenatti decided to give up financial control of his law firm after his former partner accused him of hiding millions of dollar in order "to avoid having to pay a $10 million judgement." From Fox News:
Jason Frank, a former partner at Eagan Avenatti, accused Avenatti in a court filing of spending extravagantly: $13,000 in rent for his Los Angeles apartment; a $3,640 payment on his Ferrari; $150,000 for his coffee company; $53,600 on his ex-wife; and $232,875 for his auto racing team, The Los Angeles Times reported.

I'm so old, I remember when the Democrats' Green New Deal was going to build so much high speed rail there would be no need for airplane travel.
Totally overhaul transportation by massively expanding electric vehicle manufacturing, build charging stations everywhere, build out highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary, create affordable public transit available to all, with goal to replace every combustion-engine vehicle. California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom has decided to remove hundreds of National Guard troops from the border. The National Guard has until the end of March to finish the removal. Newsom just gave President Donald Trump an excuse to invoke the National Emergencies Act. From Fox News:
Newsom’s plan will require the National Guard to immediately begin withdrawing troops but still give it until the end of March to do so. According to excerpts from his Tuesday State of the State address, he will call the “border emergency” a “manufactured crisis,” and will say that “California will not be part of this political theater.”
