Mary is the resident libertarian. She covers stories in every vertical, but her favorite thing to do is take on the media. She saw its bias against the right when she was a socialist.

Mary loves the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks, tennis, cats, Oxford comma, Diet Coke, and needlework.

The 2016 elections season has finally ended, which means speeches galore today. I planned on making them Quick Takes, but the ones from Donald Trump, Paul Ryan, Hillary Clinton, and President Barack Obama surprised me with their class and humanity I feel they deserve more attention. Hillary showed a human side that didn't make much of an appearance on the trail. She congratulated Trump, told her supporters that they "owe him an open mind and a chance to lead."

Another Wikileaks dump, another email with links between CNN and Hillary Clinton's campaign. This time, Tom Nides, a Morgan Stanley executive and former deputy secretary of state, told Hillary campaign chair John Podesta of a new CNN poll. How did he know? He's married to CNN Vice President Virginia Moseley. Wikileaks CNN Poll

You think Americans have suffered in 2016, what about Samsung? Two exploding phones, exploding washing machines, and now prosecutors raided its headquarters due to allegations that the company gave money to the daughter of President Park Geun-hye's confidante Choi Soon-sil. Authorities believe Choi "exerted influence over public affairs, despite having no official role in government, and that she used her political and business ties to benefit her daughter, an equestrian athlete." This has led to a downfall in Park's approval ratings and resignations in her administration.

Multiple sources have told Fox News that the guards hired to protect the Americans in Benghazi betrayed them in the end. These sources claim the firm "hastily recruited locals with terror ties who helped carry out the attack" that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens, Foreign Service Information Officer Sean Smith and CIA contractors and former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty. The sources also said the State Department hired these guards from the Wales-based Blue Mountain Group despite internal objections:
The explosive charge against Wales-based Blue Mountain Group comes from several sources, including an independent security specialist who has implemented training programs at U.S. Consulates around the world, including in Benghazi, where he trained a local militia that preceded Blue Mountain. The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Blue Mountain used local newspaper ads to assemble a team of 20 guards, many of whom had terror ties, after securing a $9.2 million annual contract.

Oh boy. PAGING THE IRS! The list of wrongdoings with the Clinton Foundation continues to grow. Another Wikileaks dump shows one Clinton aide accusing Chelsea Clinton of using Clinton Foundation funds to pay for wedding among other things: Chelsea Foundation Wedding

The State Department released 74 additional emails to Judicial Watch, a watchdog group that continues to investigate Hillary Clinton's private email server. These emails are the ones the FBI found after it completed its investigation. One email included a chain that the State deemed as classified now....one that Hillary sent to her daughter Chelsea Clinton. The State has blacked out the majority of the email chain, but it came from White House Deputy National Security Advisor Michael Froman and forwarded to Hillary by her policy aide Jake Sullivan. Hillary then sent it to Chelsea. Chelsea Hillary Classified Email

Say it with me: The Chicago Cubs won the 2016 World Series. A perfect way to end a magical season that still seems unreal to us lifelong diehard crazy Cubs fans who have endured heartache after heartache. https://twitter.com/Cubs/status/794038334813151233

The High Court in the United Kingdom ruled that Parliament must vote when Britain can start the Brexit process, meaning Prime Minister Theresa May cannot invoke Article 50, which opens a two-year window for talks to leave the European Union. The government plans to appeal the verdict to the Supreme Court, but if the justices uphold it, "that would mean lawmakers, a majority of whom voted to stay, would have more influence over how Brexit is carried out and could theoretically delay or even stop the process."

"What, like with a cloth or something?" is how Hillary Clinton answered Fox News's Ed Henry's question about wiping her email server. People used BleachBit, a software that strips away files and makes it unable to recover any data. Now BleachBit is selling cloths with Hillary on it: https://twitter.com/bleachbit/status/791106417952305152
