Alleged NYC Antisemitic Stabbing Suspect Out on Bail as Incidents Rise 182% Under Mamdani

Alleged NYC Antisemitic Stabbing Suspect Out on Bail as Incidents Rise 182% Under Mamdani

“The most disturbing thing about this: It’s no longer a shock to read such a headline.”

After Zohran Mamdani was elected mayor of New York City, it was only a matter of time before the attacks on the Jewish community were ramped up by antisemitic thugs who felt emboldened that their new mayor was “one of them.”

In December, for instance, one such attack took place on a city street in view of cameras:

Here’s another clip, which isn’t embeddable.

The New York Times reported on the attack at the time:

On the afternoon of Dec. 16, the 35-year-old victim had been walking near the intersection of Kingston Avenue and Lincoln Place, around the corner from the Chabad building, when Mr. [Armani] Charles approached him and the two exchanged words in a seemingly random interaction, the police said.

At some point in the back-and-forth that followed, Mr. Charles made “anti-Jewish statements,” the police said, though they did not specify what he had said.

Mr. Charles walked away from the victim, who followed him down the block. The two then got into another verbal altercation that turned violent and Mr. Charles pulled a knife and stabbed the man in the chest. The man then followed Mr. Charles across the street and down another block before Mr. Charles fled, the police said.

In an update to this story, and in an all-too-familiar scene in the Big Apple, the suspect is now out on bail:

The victim later said Charles had told him, “I’m going to kill Jewish people,” and, “We wouldn’t be in this mess if the Holocaust had happened.”

In his first court appearance, Charles is arraigned, pleads not guilty, and is released, posting at least $50,000 in bail, court filings show.

The 14 charges include assault with intent to cause serious injury, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and aggravated harassment based on race or religion. Six of the charges are hate crimes.

News of Mr. Charles’ release comes a week after the NYPD revealed that antisemitic incidents were up a staggering 182% in New York City since Mamdani took office in January:

Hateful antisemitic incidents skyrocketed 182% across the Big Apple in January compared to a year ago, even as other crimes such as murders and shootings reached record lows, according to NYPD data.

There were 31 hate crimes against Jewish people reported in the first month of 2026, which is 20 more than the same time last year, the startling stats show.

[…]

“Unfortunately, it’s never too cold to be antisemitic,” said Michael Nussbaum, a Queens board member of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York.

“The hate is going to be difficult to eliminate — it’s what’s in people’s hearts and minds,” he said.

Including, unfortunately, the city’s Democratic Socialist mayor and many members of his administration, as Legal Insurrection has extensively documented.

And in a further slap to the faces of Jewish residents, “leaders” in the city are set to make the problems worse:

Never fear, though, y’all. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) is on the scene, and she’s gonna take care of it… with strongly worded statements:

What a sick joke.

Sadly, I fear the attacks are only going to get worse under Mayor Mamdani’s (approving) watch.

Ah, the “warmth of collectivism,” delivered on the knife (scimitar?) of antisemitism and salted with the promises of “something better.”

I knew the crash was coming, but I didn’t know it would be this fast.

Count me impressed/depressed.

Mommidaddi will fix all!

Edit: “The future victim followed Mr. Charles down the block.” Nothing justifies the stabbing, but can we agree following a crazed man and confronting him will no intelligence prizes?

this is a clue … leave …. while you can.

“…antisemitic thugs who felt emboldened that their new mayor was “one of them.”

Felt?

They have each other on speed dial.

Indeed, it’s time to get out. If there’s anything more dangerous than having an avowed socialist in charge of your city, it’s having a muslim in charge of your city.

What a travesty…

Get a grip New York. This is only the beginning. Three more years…

As some say that homicides, thefts, rapes, and anti-Semitic attacks will worsen before things get better in NYC, tell me one more time why NYC Jews continue to vote Democrat? By the way, AOC is in Munich, Germany, attending a conference with Hillary. They couldn’t care less now that the Muslims have conquered NYC.

Hang on folks, the ride just started 😉

mamdami is scary

he is full steam ahead,,,young loud brash and knows that he is playing the game correctly
he has hochul and aoc etc in his pockets…and his other pockets stuffed with others money for his “success”

castro reigned a long time supreme and nyc wont be going right of center anytime soon

Former President Barack Obama says the controversy sparked by his infamous comments about white working-class voters being “bitter” and clinging “to guns or religion” still nags him because it misconstrued his genuine sympathy for the same people who perceived him to be out of touch.

sympathy??

ahahahaa

Progressive secular Jews voted for Mamdani approximately 75% (their conservative religious brethren went 80% for Cuomo).

Just as in Germany in the 30s, secular Jews are astonished that forsaking their religion is not enough to keep them from being attacked.

The cattle cars are this way, chumps.

Keep in mind that this is only months since Mamdani’s election. I rather expect that there will be as city/state -v- federal confrontation in New York within a year similar to what just happened in Minneapolis and Minnesota; expect the point of argument will be antisemitic attacks instead of foreign invaders. And the makeup of the sides will be the same.

“The victim later said Charles had told him, “I’m going to kill Jewish people,” and, “We wouldn’t be in this mess if the Holocaust had happened.”
———————

Well, the Holocaust did happen; it just didn’t succeed in its goal of exterminating all European Jews. That’s how evil and stupid these reprobates are.

As widely predicted. Sooner rather than later NYC will stop collecting statistics on antisemitic attacks in order to make the numbers appear better than they are.

Mamdani’s junta will be seen as successful to the extent he gets rid of NYC Jews (either by driving them out or straight-up killing them). Everything else – the “affordability crisis”, free public transportation, free education, etc. – does not actually matter one particle to the genocidal maniacs who voted for him.

“Never fear, though, y’all. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) is on the scene, and she’s gonna take care of it… with strongly worded statements:”

Oh I’m sure she did more. I’m sure the Rabbi and his org got a handsome kickback on something in return for their compliance and support.

Why don’t Americans look at the belief system of those who want them murdered? asking for a friend.
