Tamika Mallory Among the Many Antisemitic, Anti-Police Voices on Mamdani’s Transition Committees
“Mallory and three other leaders ‘allowed anti-Semitism, anti-LBGTQIA sentiment, and hateful, racist rhetoric to become a part of the platform by their refusal to separate themselves from groups that espouse these racist, hateful beliefs.'”
Y’all, NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani doesn’t just have a transition team; he also has 17 transition committees staffed with 400+ people. It’s no wonder he’s begging for millions of dollars in transition funding.
Legal Insurrection previously reported how several members of his key transition team were staunch “defund the police” advocates. This week, however, Mamdani announced the formation of those 17 transition committees, including two that undoubtedly were created to cater to his socialist base:
The Mamdani team will have the expected committees on transportation and public safety, for example, but he will also have two committees that have not been part of other mayoral transitions, including one on worker justice and another on community organizing.
[…]
Mamdani said his government would show “the importance of turning what people say no to into that which they say how to.”
Already, questions are being raised about some of the people appointed to these committees. Among them is disgraced former Women’s March leader Tamika Mallory, whose antisemitism – which included support for the Nation of Islam – got her booted from the Women’s March movement in 2019:
The Women’s March cut ties with Mallory in 2019 after founder Teresa Shook wrote in a Facebook post that Mallory and three other leaders had “allowed anti-Semitism, anti-LBGTQIA sentiment, and hateful, racist rhetoric to become a part of the platform by their refusal to separate themselves from groups that espouse these racist, hateful beliefs.” Shook called on the co-chairs to leave the organization, stating that their extremism had “steered the Movement away from its true course.”
Yeah I’m sure Jews in NYC are going to feel really safe knowing Tamika Mallory, a Farrakhan disciple, is on Mamdani’s transition committee on community safety.

Also on the Committee on Community Safety are other anti-police voices:
A lefty academic who literally penned a book titled “The End of Policing” sits on Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s transition team focused on public safety – along with a rag-tag roster of other anti-police reformers.
Alex Vitale, a Brooklyn College sociology professor, was among 26 advocates, scholars and former NYPD officials tapped Monday to staff Mamdani’s Committee on Community Safety amid the mayoral turnover.
[…]
Diehard “defund the police” advocate Joo-Hyun Kang is the director for Communities United for Police Reform.
She has slammed police unions as an obstacle to reform.
Mamdani also has a Legal Affairs Committee, which includes Ramzi Kassem, an attorney who has represented al Qaeda terrorists and, earlier this year, pro-Hamas agitator Mahmoud Khalil:
The mayor elect appointed Ramzi Kassem, a lawyer best known for representing al Qaeda terrorists, as a legal adviser. Kassem’s former clients include Shaker Aamer—a “close associate” of Osama bin Laden—and Ahmed al-Darbi, an al Qaeda member convicted in 2017 for bombing a French oil tanker, among other Guantanamo Bay detainees.
Wild how Zohran’s Transition Committee on Legal Affairs includes Ramzi Kassem — the CUNY CLEAR lawyer behind Mahmoud Khalil and countless student-radical cases. Says everything. pic.twitter.com/fupJ2buCbh

At least one admitted Assata Shakur comrade also made the team:
[Lumumba] Bandele has a three-decade personal relationship with Assata Shakur, the convicted murderer and FBI-designated fugitive who escaped U.S. custody and fled to Cuba — and who died earlier this year in Havana.
In this clip, Bandele recounts multiple trips to Cuba to meet her, including bringing artists like Common, hip-hop duo Dead Prez, and Talib Kweli to “sit at her feet.” He says Shakur gave him ongoing “assignments” and put a “battery in my back” to work to “bring comrades home.”

This guy wrote an entire thread on the Community Organizing Committee alone. This was his first entry:
Sherif Ahmed is the executive director of MAS NY. MAS has been linked to the Muslim Brotherhood as an American branch. It is so linked that the UAE has banned MAS and declared it a terror org. Here they are praising Mr. FAFO. pic.twitter.com/pWxd3pBaGU

Not that Mamdani didn’t tell Big Apple residents who he was prior to getting elected, but good grief.

Good. I hope the entire city crashes and burns so badly another socialist isn’t elected for 100 years although I’d settle for in my lifetime. Frankly it is what the people who voted for this ignorant unaccomplished clown deserve.
As for the 30% of Jews who voted for this POS don’t come crying to the rest of us when it is open season on you. Apparently you never learned the lessons of Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union / Russia. You need to be culled from our gene pool. Your dangerous to the rest of us.
“so badly another socialist isn’t elected for 100 years’
Democrat voters have the memories of goldfish.
And just as colorful in a twisted way.
I thought that Joann Hardesty would keep another marxist off the Portland City Council (she left office with a 17% approval rating) but the goldfish went an elected 4 when the council expanded from 5 to 12 members. Like NYC, Portland has killed off businesses as a source of revenue and will now go heavier on the people to keep their utopian dreams alive. Poop on the streets doesn’t just get there by itself, it needs a boost from city services.
“he will also have two committees that have not been part of other mayoral transitions, including one on worker justice and another on community organizing.”
The political officers have to come from somewhere.
Blacks and anti-semitism. After all the Jews did in the civil rights movement.
Those of you who’ve been on this site for a long time will remember my saying that Goodman and Schwerner wasted their time and lives for these people. I still stand by that belief.
Do they’re going to de-Jew NYC it looks like. I hope Wall Street leaves. Well NY, you’re kind of screwed. Enjoy!
My plan: avoid NYC at all costs. I will drive the long way around to avoid the Cross Bronx Expressway (ok, that would be a good idea anyway), JFK and LaGuardia for connecting flights. I’m not a fool so I don’t have to worry about Amtrak.
The next few years are going to be rough as the city reverts to the law of the jungle.
Good luck.
Give it a few months. Then the NY transition team will be tossing Jews and homosexuals off of the buildings.
Maybe if we’re lucky the UN will decide to move out of NYC to some safer place like gaza.
Come on. Who in their right mind thought that Mamdani would appoint people who weren’t all in on socialism, anti=semitism, and defunding the police? At least his appointments make it less likely for DJT to offer any funding for him.
There’d be less antisemitism if the Holocaust card was dropped as a moral hall pass. Move on to valid moral arguments, of which there are plenty supporting Jews against Palestinians.
Loury and McWhorter made a similar argument against black outrage against Nick Fuentes.
Loury attributed Fuentes’s motivation as saying stop dwelling jim crow which happened 70 years ago and pay some attention to black teens shooting people out at a Christmas tree outing. Tiredness with a bogus moral claim.

It’s no surprise a Muslim is picking other antisemitism people to fill out the City government.
Build a wall around the city. No one enters, no one leaves until just one remains.
And we lock that one up forever.
Well when these folks take office and can exercise the power of the City Govt to back their kooky views maybe folks will begin to pay them the attention they should have prior to the election when distracted by other things.
The transition team members are all jockeying for plum sinecure positions. It must be fun (or disheartening) watching all of these ideologues close-up posturing with elbows out and trash talking. For NYC’s sake, I hope that Mamdani realizes that he needs competent administrators to deliver essential city services.
We all know the source of payment for these committees – NYC taxpayers.
I am starting to think that one of the wisest statements of the 20th century was: you vote your way into socialism and shoot your way out of it. I think that “Gangs of New York” is due for a remake as a documentary.
