Legal Insurrection Foundation 3rd Anniversary Fundraiser – Help Us Reach Ramming Speed

Three years ago we launched the Legal Insurrection Foundation, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit. We have grown organically through the hard work of a fantastic team. Now we are ready to ramp up. But we need your help. Join us in this fight. You can DONATE HERE.

For those who don’t know the history, LIF is an outgrowth of the Legal Insurrection website, founded in 2008, and performs a different function. LIF focuses on research, investigation, and education.

The website continues to focus on politics and law, with a monthly readership of several hundred thousand “unique” readers. Our Morning Insurrection daily newsletter now has over 18,000 subscribers with enormous open and engagement rates. (Sign up for newsletter here.)

The website is a platform that allows us to push out and publicize the work of LIF, which sets us apart — we have a built in audience and mass media connections. You can read more about our impact at our First and Second anniversary posts. In this third year we have continued our impact, once again being the go-to place regarding the Gibson’s Bakery appeal and the Chauvin and Rittenhouse trials, helping various faculty under attack, helping veterans fighting woke abuse, and bringing forward parents like Nicole Solas and teachers like Ramona Bessinger. We helped bring a lawsuit halting a racially discriminatory school scholarship, and we continue to investige numerous other opportunities. But we don’t have the funds to do more, and are stretched thin.

We have achieved so much it can’t all be summarized here, but our CriticalRace.org website, which is just over a year old, deserves mention. We were ahead of the anti-CRT wave, and have established a database and resources that have been linked in almost 100 articles, many in the mainstream media, as well as numerous media appearances for me. The database has been cited in proposed congressional legislation, and I have addressed state legislators multiple times on K-12 issues. The database, which we have expanded from higher ed into medical schools and elite K-12 private schools, is not found anywhere else. In just 14 months since launch, readers have used the CriticalRace.org website 6.5 million times to click on resources and data sources.We are expanding the database and resources, but need more funding to hire researchers.

We have done all this on a laughably small budget. I’ve said it before, you get more miles to the gallon at Legal Insurrection than anywhere else. We can do better, but we need more funding. We rely heavily on our readership for financial support.

The time is now. Ronald Reagan called it a time for choosing. The chaos is deliberate. I was it all coming when I founded the website. On February 9, 2009, I wrote:

There seems to be a deliberateness to the chaos, a purpose to the ever-increasing exclamation points, as in crisis (!), catastrophe (!!), act now or else (!!!), … we’re on the verge of (!!!!). An attempt to keep so many parts moving so quickly that by the time we realize what has happened, we will have an economic and political system based on punishing achievement in the name of fairness, redistributing goods and services in the name of equality, and above all, dependence on a government which controls everything by endlessly proclaiming that only it has good intentions.

That pretty much sums up where we are today. You see it too. We understand that a lot of people cannot step forward and say and do what they want for fear of job loss. We are your voice, you can act through your support for our efforts.
