Welcome to our coverage of the Kim Potter manslaughter trial over the April 11, 2021, shooting death of Daunte Wright in a suburb of Minneapolis, when then-police officer Potter accidentally used her Glock 17 pistol in place of her intended Taser. I expect that today we will see the State rest its case in chief, and the defense will finally get its turn to start calling witnesses.

Democrats want big tech companies to start doing racial equity audits, supposedly to promote racial justice in hiring and employment practices. The truth is that this is all about power and making sure these companies are stacked with social justice warriors.

The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson faces a massive party rebellion after over 100 Conservative lawmakers voted against his new coronavirus restrictions.

Johnson, who holds a majority of 74 seats in the parliament of 650, had to depend on the backing of the opposition Labour Party to pass the new pandemic regulations. "The prime minister was forced to rely on the votes of Labour MPs to win Commons approval for the introduction" of the measures, the newspaper Independent reported.

I noted that The New York Times as adopting my science-based approach to dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, rather that the fear-mongering that has been favored since news of the outbreaks of the respiratory virus in China broke in early 2020.

Welcome to our coverage of the Kim Potter manslaughter trial over the April 11, 2021, shooting death of Duante Wright in a suburb of Minneapolis, when then-police officer Potter accidentally used her Glock 17 pistol in place of her intended Taser. Today was the fifth day of the Potter trial and was most notable for being one of the single most boring days of court proceedings of my 30-year career.  The State managed to move completely through only a single witness and barely finished direct examination on their second witness of the day before Judge Chu had blessed mercy on the jury and observers and recessed the court for the day.

This is really something else. Far be it from the Biden administration to accept any responsibility for sky-high grocery prices, instead, they're blaming Big Meat. In a question regarding inflated price of everything, Press Sec Psaki blamed, "the greed of meat conglomerates." Really.
