Happy New Year to Legal Insurrection readers! 2020 was a boom year for Legal Insurrection in many ways, including website traffic.

For 2020 we clocked in at 29,977,000 page views, an increase from 21,031,600 in 2019, and 16,793,600 in 2018. Visitors spent an average 2:24 minutes on the site per visit.

I’m expecting a big drop in traffic in 2021. This year’s intense political and social drama likely was a driver of eyeballs that will not happen in 2021 (we think). This is something you’re likely to see across media. Expect a lot of so-called journalists at big media entities to have to learn to code.
