You knew it was coming — an organized effort to push Michelle Obama as Biden’s vice presidential pick.
A new committee called “Draft Michelle Obama” filed with the FEC last month.
Biden has said on several occasions that he would be willing to pick Obama for the spot.
The committee, which filed with the Federal Election Commission on April 26, said its goal is to show Obama how many people want her to accept Biden’s informal request for her to serve.

Joe Biden has said he would choose Michelle Obama as his running mate “in a heartbeat.” The aim of this campaign is to build on the substantial grassroots support for a potential Michelle Obama candidacy and help garner media attention for a vice presidential nominee who has the power to beat Donald Trump.
The Committee to Draft Michelle Obama firmly believes that Ms. Obama will not only benefit the Democratic ticket this November but also help lead this country to be more just and caring. However strongly we support Ms. Obama as Vice President Biden’s running mate, we will transfer our resolve to whoever joins the ticket to defeat the most dangerous incumbent in the history of our
nation.With a historic battle to reclaim the soul of America looming this November and the peril caused by the Coronavirus Pandemic, it remains in the best interest of the Democratic Party to nominate a vice-presidential candidate who has the trust of the American people, a vision to lead our nation forward and empathy for the challenges faced by all Americans.
Ms. Obama, the most admired woman in America, will be a vital asset this November, when Vice President Biden will face an uphill battle to combat the lies and deceit emanating from the White House. Her credibility as a trusted leader and a strong symbol of unity within the Democratic Party would certainly help Democrats defeat Republicans up and down the ballot.
The mere fact that Democrats are still toying with an Obama assist is proof they’re concerned about Biden as the presumptive nominee.

It’s a lot less work for Michelle than running for president herself. That’s the real question here. If she does,Sleepy Joe has a real shot at the election.
The Electorate is always split firmly about 45% D and 45% R and that remaining swing 10% decides elections.
The Corona Virus attacks will cost Trump a few percent of that 10% and if Michelle can pull an extra few percent, things might get very close.
Further, I don’t know how one attacks Michelle Obama. She’s a Black Woman with zero record to criticize. Thus, she is pretty much in a position where any comment about her can be spun as anti-feminist or racist.
The only way to counter that would be to make the debates about substance and show her lack of relevant knowledge. However, the Democrats seem to control the debate process.

Whoever Joe picks for the VP is not necessarily running for president, because the DNC can replace him at the top of the ticket without promoting his #2, and I expect it to do so. On the other hand I expect whoever is nominated for VP at the convention to keep that nomination; I expect the replacement #1 will not be given their own choice of running mate.
If Bite Me picks Michelle O prior to convention, you can bet that the DNC will certainly make her the lead candidate should Joe e removed or unable to run for the top slot. Depends on polls at the time of the convention, but you heard it here first.
Honestly, did anyone NOT see this coming months ago? Biden gets elected through unprecentedly MASSIVE dem cheating (mail-in votes, anyone?). Then the dems “25th Amendment” him and Moochelle becomes president. Which means it’s the second reign of that son of a bitch Obama. And his husband.
The fallback if Moochelle is not Biden’s VP is to do the same, but with Hillary Clinton. I think you can see where this is going…
That scenario also carries extremely high odds of Michelle being Arkancided by some former 1st lady of Arkansas methinks.
They will not “25th-amendment” him, unless they have to because they left it too long and he’s already president, and is now in a coma or a straitjacket and therefore unable to resign. That’s what the 25th is for. (That and the case of a much-loved but gaga president, who refuses to resign but whom the Congress doesn’t want to subject to the indignity of impeachment.)
I think they will replace him before he can be elected president in the first place, which happens on Dec 14 (if he wins in November). They’ll do it, depending on the polls, either in late October or else after the November election. But that depends on his holding out that long. The main thing, from their POV, is that he has to hold on until after the convention, so that his replacement is in their hands.
At no point did I state, nor did I intend to imply that any kind of hypothetical “25th amendmenting” would occur prior to Biden being inaugurated. I believe if the democrats are going to stick with Biden (and I think they’ll do that and milk the idea of him being the answer to Trump until he’s shooting dust), they’ll also go through the charade of giving him his “coronation”, followed by a rapid and tragic decline of our leader and savior Uncle Joe. At a time when so many will no doubt be in deep despair over Uncle Joe, it sure will be good luck for us lost souls that he was brilliant enough to name Mrs. Obama/Mrs. Clinton as his VP. I can practically taste that bullshit from here. But hey, that’s just me.
Even if they let him be inaugurated, they still won’t “25th amendment” him, they’ll just prevail on him to resign. The 25th only comes into effect in two cases: (1) The president would resign but is unable to; (2) the president insists he can still function but can’t, and Congress respects him too much to subject him to the indignity of impeachment. (Remember, removing an unwilling president through the 25th amendment is harder than doing so through impeachment.)
But I don’t see them leaving it in his hands. Nor do I see them letting his chosen running mate succeed, unless he happens to pick their chosen replacement anyway.

Were Biden to make this selection and Mrs. Obama to sign on it would make Trumps re-election very difficult. Many women and an equal number of beta males would line up to support it, praying Joe steps aside after the election thereby making Mrs. Obama the first female POTUS. Mrs. Obama would be a huge hit in the black community making it even tougher for Trump to chip away the black vote.
Thing is, I don’t know if Mrs. Obama would be interested. In eight years she didn’t present herself as deeply passionate on any issue that wasn’t based on race or gender. I guess will see but I’ll admit, I hope she isn’t the VP pick.
Plus from reports the Obamas have not really been together as a married couple since their White House gravy train ended.

If she is offered the VP slot and if she accepts;
1. She has, based on the descent of Biden’s health and mental acuity, a good shot at assuming the office of President.
2. But, she and Biden have to get elected first and that isn’t close to certain.
3. Biden is a very weak candidate. He is totally dependent on the turnout of ambivalent d voters and he isn’t exactly packing folks into his rallies. He isn’t capable of inspiring folks to vote for him.
4. M. Obama, will become the focus of the election. She will be subjected to the scrutiny that is normally reserved for the nominee.
5. She will be in a VP debate with Pence not PDJT. The differences in personality and tone are tremendous. She can’t simply say ‘Trump bad’, Pence will kill her with kindness.
6. Biden will have to adopt or defend every Obama administration policy, he won’t be able to distance with M Obama on the ticket.
7. M Obama likewise. It isn’t as if she can say ‘that was my Husband not me.’ The obvious retort is ‘many say you are the vp nominee only because of your husband so how do you reconcile that?’
Could Biden offer and M Obama accept? Sure.
Could they win? Maybe.
The risk is high. She is reliant upon Joe to get her to the WH. Why not wait till 2024 when, Joe ain’t going to be capable of running and she can be at the top of the ticket? Who would be her competition for the d nomination in 2024?
Failed VP nominee don’t usually get another opportunity. That is too high a risk to run. Plus she moves from the media safe zone of a family member directly into the full contact zone.
For all these reasons, IMO, she will wait for her own opportunity vs being tied to Joe Biden in a likely failed bid.

Fortunately, the MSM is no longer the only game in town. Alternatives exist. Those alternatives can and do create enough buzz around issues/stories that some more moderate/conservative media outlets pickup. Once into the conversation the MSM then is forced to ‘report’ on the issue even if only in a pro forma manner at the bottom of page five, simply to get it out of the way as an issue. If it has legs it continues to play out, if not it does down.
As far as scrutiny for former President Obama, I seem to recall a bunch of well documented mass public protests; Tea Party movement. So scrutiny isn’t confined to the MSM. Scrutiny can come from everyday folks forcing issues to be addressed.

I’ve been predicting for more than three years that Michelle would throw her hat in the ring at the last minute, but a horrible thought just occurred to me. The Dems have a perfect last-minute replacement for Biden waiting in the wings — Fauci.
Tell me why this would not work for them. Why would they not, round about Oct 20, have Biden break down and announce that he can no longer do it, and have Fauci, who is becoming more popular each day, “reluctantly” step in as a uniter, someone who can rally the nation’s spirit and defeat the Orange Monster? Wouldn’t he be in the perfect position to attack Trump? Yes, he’s two years older than Biden, but he’s obviously with it, and Trump’s no spring chicken either.
So tell me why I should not fear this.

It is clear that if Biden wins somehow then Biden does not last a month as President since he is not mentally or physically capable of being President as the last few months have clearly shown. And so, whoever is VP will be President in the first year. It seems a lot of people are making the mistake that if Michelle Obama is forced to be VP then she would have to do actual work when it is quite clear that Michelle would be the first cardboard puppet on a string “President” since we all know that the real shadow President would be Barack Insane 0bama, Valerie Jarret, and her handlers that would be the real power making all of the decisions. If she is the V.P. pick, I would look for an October surprise where Biden drops from the ticket and they run Moochelle. The debates are over.
