Oh, how I love capitalism! Washington, DC, bars will open early on Wednesday and offer drink specials due to the first public impeachment hearing. From NBC Washington:
[Union Pub] Attendees will be able to choose from a variety of themed specials, such as Union Pub's "ImPEACHment Please" and The Partisan's combo that features Colonel E. H. Taylor whiskey. The whiskey was chosen for Ukraine Ambassador William Taylor, who's set to testify Wednesday along with George Kent, the deputy assistant secretary in Washington.

A little over two years ago, on October 25, 2017, I gave a speech about free speech and hate speech at Vassar College. It was, as I have described many times, an 'out-of-body' experience because of false claims spread about me and my appearance by students, including student government. From my post, Safe Spaces and Safety Teams at Vassar College for My Lecture on Free Speech:

The Supreme Court decided on Monday morning not to consider the request by gun manufacturer Remington Arms to stop the case against them by the Sandy Hook families. In March, the Connecticut Supreme Court ruled 4-3 that the families can sue Remington "under state law over its marketing practices, citing one of the few exemptions to the federal law."

Students for Life of America (SLFA) has stepped in to help one young mother finish her education after she lost her financial aid due to her pregnancy with her son. Ruth Asmarzadeh felt pressure to have an abortion but chose life. In the process, she lost her financial aid to Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado and couldn't reschedule her exams.

The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has ruled that goods produced outside Israel's pre-1967 lines must be labeled as such, and may not be marketed as Israeli products. The judgment will impact food products imported into Europe from East Jerusalem, the Golan Heights, Judea, and Samaria, which the European Union does not recognize as Israeli territory. "Foodstuffs originating in the territories occupied by the State of Israel must bear the indication of their territory of origin, accompanied, where those foodstuffs come from an Israeli settlement within that territory, by the indication of that provenance," the top EU court declared on Tuesday morning.

The climate cult group known as Extinction Rebellion is now taking its city-shutdown antics to the Middle East.
Off-shoots of the group that advocates peaceful protest as a way to pile on pressure to curb global warming are sprouting from Beirut to Doha, as activists in the oil-rich region want governments to ditch fossil fuels for renewable energy sources.
