Germany will ramp up border checks to stop illegal immigrants, German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer announced. The move comes after the country's right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) made big gains in the last month's regional elections. Berlin "simply can't get a grip" on illegal immigration, German newspaper Bild claimed. "The problem has aggravated as more and more Syrian refugees cross over from Turkey into the EU," the newspaper reported on Sunday, "The situation in cramped refugees camps in Greece is dramatic. German government fears that many of the migrants could try to get to Germany."

Yesterday I wrote how Facebook takes down Elizabeth Warren Wiki page devoted to documenting her Cherokee and other controversies. The Facebook page went live in February 2013, at the same time that ElizabethWarrenWiki.org went live. The takedown was based on the plainly false claim that the Facebook page violated Facebook's "Impersonation" policy:

When Joker premiered in August at the Toronto International Film Festival it was met with cheers as a modern masterpiece and an 8-minute standing ovation. The radical new take on the famous DC Comics villain, an homage to the style of Martin Scorsese films like Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy, is supposed to be one of the year's best films.

A photo revealed on Monday's Tucker Carlson tonight seems to contradict what former Vice President Biden told reporters last month -- that he'd never discussed his son Hunter's foreign business deals with him. The photo taken in 2014 shows "former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter golfing in the Hamptons with Devon Archer, who served on the board of the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings with Hunter," reports Fox News.

A middle school student at Immanuel Christian School in Virginia recently claimed white boys at the school held her down and cut her hair. The media wasted no time trying to pin this controversy to Karen Pence, wife of Vice President Mike Pence, because she works there as a part-time art teacher. Now we know it was a hoax.
