As election officials are counting chads once more in Florida and in Arizona in search of the victor in the US senate race, there is a district in California that is poised to make history once all the mail-in numbers come in. Young Kim, the Republican candidate, is likely be the first Korean-American woman elected to the US Congress once the final numbers are crunched.
California’s Congressional District 39 was one of the tightest races of the 2018 midterm elections, and even with the votes tallied, the outcome remains far from clear.

Bloomberg has reported that more senior citizens have entered the fast-food market as those restaurant chains have actively aimed to recruit this age demographic. Yes, the job market is tight, but the senior citizens have what teenagers lack: social skills and punctuality.

Thursday, the 9th Circuit upheld an injunction which blocked the Trump administration's termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Unborn human beings in West Virginia and Alabama received a huge win on Tuesday when voters chose amendments that would protect their rights in utero if the Supreme Court overturns Roe vs. Wade. Without Roe vs. Wade, abortion would go to the states. In West Virginia, voters chose to end taxpayer funded abortions. Alabama citizens voted that those unborn human beings have a right to life.

Late Thursday night, a man opened fire on the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, CA, during a college event. He killed 12 people, including Sgt. Ron Helus, who rushed to the building when he heard the man still shooting inside the bar. Reports have surfaced that authorities identified the shooter as former Marine Ian David Long, 29, and that neighbors said "he went by his middle name."

Doing away with diplomatic niceties, the top European Union officials have welcomed the gains made by the Democrats in the US midterm elections. Vice President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans hailed the electoral results while attacking the Trump administration for its "racism" and "rudeness." "Inspired by voters in the U.S. who chose hope over fear, civility over rudeness, inclusion over racism, equality over discrimination," Timmermans wrote on Twitter. EU Economic Commissioner, Pierre Moscovici, also cheered the Democrats winning the House majority. "The Democrats win the House of Representatives for the first time in eight years despite powerful Republican gerrymandering," Moscovici said.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg remains hospitalized after she fell in her office, which caused her to break three ribs. From USA Today:
Ginsburg, 85, went home after the fall but continued to experience "discomfort overnight" and went to George Washington Hospital early Thursday. Tests revealed she fractured three ribs and she "was admitted for observation and treatment," according to the statement.

While Tucker Carlson was on the air in the Washington, DC, FOX News studio on Wednesday night, a mob of Antifa thugs assembled outside of his home and threatened him and his family. The group that did this is Smash Racism DC, the same folks who harassed Ted Cruz and his wife at a restaurant last month.
