Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) presented the GOP a gold wrapped present on a silver platter when she told The Boston Globe she's not going anywhere and wants the Speaker job back:
“We will win. I will run for speaker. I feel confident about it. And my members do, too,” Pelosi told a meeting of Globe reporters and editors. She was in Boston for a Democratic fund-raiser hosted by Representative Katherine Clark.

In my last post on North Korea, I theorized that China had compelled North Korea to denuclearize after the mountain covering the rogue regime's test area has collapsed and the border area between the two nations was threatened will fallout. However, evidence continues to mount that North Korea's promises may be good this time around and that the peace proposal is not a stall for weapon development time.

Victor Davis Hanson recently spoke at Cornell, but unfortunately I was out of town at the time. I would have loved to meet him, he's one of the most insightful authors. In my 9th Anniversary post on October 12, 2017, Legal Insurrection is 9 years old, and filled with dread, I wrote about the "rising tide of absolutism in ideas and enforcement of ideological uniformity that is palpable" on the left, and "what it will mean to live without institutions."

The so-called Great March of Return held every Friday for the past four weeks at the Gaza-Israel border is falsely portrayed as a peaceful civilian protest by groups like Amnesty International. That false designation has led to claims that Israel is violating international law by using live fire against "protesters" who approach the border fence. In fact, as we have documented weekly, the "protests" are actually military operations by Hamas and other terror groups using civilian protests as cover.

The outrage machine needs to get itself together. Seriously. The internet is harassing a poor 18-year-old gal because she wore a traditional Chinese dress to prom. Keziah Daum is accused of committing the heinous crime of cultural appropriation (which only exists in the minds of those without intellectual or cultural depth of any kind).

Tuesday morning Facebook users found a weird new option -- the ability to mark posts as "hate speech." My entire timeline was full of posts skewering the latest Facebook feature. Then, without warning, the report-everything-you-don't-like-without-recognizing-the-subjectivity-of-your-actions option vanished.
