Does this suprise anyone?  Oh, to not agree with Rahm Emanuel in Chicago:

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is not returning calls from the Ricketts family and is “livid” over a New York Times report that Joe Ricketts commissioned a proposal for a multimillion-dollar ad campaign linking President Obama to the president’s former...

Which do you think is better, the original Obama Celebrity ad run by the McCain campaign in 2008, or the new one from American Crossroads which was just released?

First, the original:

Here’s how the NY Times Editorial Board characterized the McCain ad:

The ad gave us an uneasy feeling that the McCain campaign was...

I was wondering when someone would bring out the Mike Huckabee line from the 2008 campaign, when he was attacked by Romney much the way Romney attacked Newt in this election cycle.

Romney always starts it.  He did it in Iowa in December 2007 against Huckabee and McCain,  and in Iowa 2011...

Andrew Kaczynski of BuzzFeed has located John McCain’s 200-page opposition reasearch book on Mitt Romney.  It’s embedded below.

I turned to the section on Bain, and at page 136 found this sentence:

Romney Served As CEO Of Bain Capital Through August 2001, Even Though He No Longer Ran Daily Operations. “Although he gave...

John McCain is set to endorse Mitt Romney today, and I’m sure there will be plenty of platitudes.

But the McCain endorsement comes with baggage, like this:

“Never get into a wrestling match with a pig,” Senator John McCain said in New Hampshire this month after reporters asked him about Mr. Romney. “You...

Robert Novak, writing just after Obama defeated John McCain and Democrats solidified their hold on Congress, predicted that Republicans would turn to Newt Gingrich to lead them back to presidential power in 2012, Newt in 2012? (via @jmartpolitico):

In serious conversations among Republicans since their election debacle Tuesday, what name is mentioned most often...

This is the latest in a series on the use of the race card for political gain:

Donald Trump has pushed the issue of Barack Obama’s birthplace and citizenship back onto the front pages.

I’m not going to revisit the merits of the issue, but I will note the continuing tendency to...

She’s attacking me, but in fact makes a complete fool of herself, which seems to be her specialty.

There is a bizarre intellectual dance taking place around the topic of Barack Obama’s birthplace.

The world has been artificially divided into “Birthers” and “anti-Birthers” when in fact I suspect a large percentage or even majority of the population is neither and simply wants all the evidence released so that we can move...

As we conclude this final day before the election, the arguments have been made, the advertisements run, and the cash spent. Through all the noise, the essential decision facing the American people has not changed.

It’s all about trust.
