Wuhan Coronavirus Tag

I wrote last week about how both the national press and Democrats seemed to be working in concert to shame Republicans into dropping "Wuhan" and "Chinese" when talking about the Wuhan Coronavirus, suggesting it was "racist" and "stigmatizing" to reference from where the virus originated continually.

Iran is "scaling back" on terrorist activities in the Middle East due to coronavirus outbreak, the Israel Defense Forces indicated on Monday. "There are countries who have gotten it way worse than us with this corona[virus] story, and as a result their activities are at a slower pace," IDF Spokesman Hidai Zilberman told reporters without naming Iran.

My inbox has been flooded with messages from almost every company I've interacted with assuring me that they have a plan on how to deal with the Wuhan Coronavirus (none of them use that name, of course). The airlines, the banks, the hotels, the domain host, the lawyers, the accountants, ... even the furniture store, all have sent me messages of reassurance. They will be there for me, they are spread out in various locations with various back up systems, and they can log in from home.

As long as I have my memory, October 9, 2009, will be a day I'll never forget. I'd fought (with OTC meds) what I thought was just the common cold for several days prior, but wasn't getting any better. So I decided to go to the doctor to see what was going on. My regular doctor was booked solid along with all the other doctors at the medical facility, but fortunately, I was able to snag an appointment with my doctor's PA-C.
