The Supreme Court ruled 5-4, with Chief Justice John Roberts as the deciding vote, to strike down a Louisiana law that requires abortionists have hospital admitting privileges.

Roberts said he voted because he had to follow precedent.

“We can pull off elections after disasters or issues like this but we have to have more time than 30 or 60 days,” he said Friday.

An arrest has been made in the gruesome murder of 75-year-old civil rights activist, Sadie Roberts-Joseph. She was found dead in the trunk of her car last week.

Thursday, New York authorities arrested a man accused of leaving threatening voice messages for Rep. Steve Scalise.

According to The Times-Picayune, the voice message said, “We are going to feed them lead. Make no mistake you will pay.”
