House Republicans Add Seven Districts to Target List for Midterms
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) now have 36 districts on their target list.
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), the campaign arm for House Republicans, has added seven districts to its target lists to grow its majority.
“Vulnerable House Democrats are stuck defending a wildly unpopular record and a radical socialist agenda,” said NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson. “The NRCC will take the fight into their districts, hold every one of them accountable, and expand our House majority in November.”
The committee added AL-02, FL-14, FL-22, LA-06, MO-05, OH-01, and TN-09.
All of those districts have something in common: Redistricting!

- AL-02: Likely Republican
- FL-14: Lean Republican
- FL-22: Lean Republican
- LA-06: Solid Republican
- MO-05: Solid Republican
- OH-01: Lean Democrat
- TN-09: Solid Republican
Democrat Greg Landsman won OH-01 in 2022. However, that district now contains more of rural Ohio, meaning President Donald Trump could have won it in 2024 by 2.5 points.
Despite that change, Cook Political Report changed the district rating from toss-up to lean Democrat in April.
Landsman will face Eric Conroy, an Air Force veteran and former CIA case officer.
Conroy needs the NRCC’s help. Landsman received $3.7 million between January 2025 and June 30. Conroy only has $900,000.

The inclusion of California districts reinforces my RNC skepticism. I live in California. We know who counts the votes here. Unless you can win too big to rig, a waste of time and money.
I send a few bucks to out of state primary challengers from time to time. Not to the state or national party.
Also Republicans: “Nah, let’s not touch the racially gerrymandered districts the Supreme Court just ruled unconstitutional because that would be unfair to our Democrat colleagues across the aisle”.
