Kirstjen Nielsen Tag

It wasn't enough that #TheResistance shouted DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen out of a private DC restaurant in the summer of 2018. It wasn't enough that they made it personal by converging on her home, yelling chants and playing audio clips of immigrant children allegedly being separated from their families at the border. Now, as Nielsen prepares to make her exit from the Trump administration, a group comprised of some familiar high-profile Resistance faces have taken it a step further by urging a hiring boycott. And not just against Nielsen, but against any Trump officials involved in the so-called "child separation" immigration policy.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen resigned on Sunday after butting heads with President Donald Trump over policy and border control issues. He recently asked her "to close the ports of entry along the border and to stop accepting asylum seekers, which Ms. Nielsen found ineffective and inappropriate." Trump has chosen US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Kevin McAleenan as acting DHS secretary, but will he have the toughness Trump desires in the role? Some officials told CNN that they don't consider McAleenan "an ideologue or fire breather" when it comes to immigration.

The #Resistance has become completely unhinged, unbearable, and downright dangerous.  This week alone, Peter Fonda suggested that the president's 12-year-old son be sexually assaulted by pedophiles, and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was chased out of a restaurant and was harassed by a pack of socialists at her home. Last night, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was told to leave the Red Hen, a Virginia restaurant, because she works for President Trump.

The totalitarian impulses of #TheResistance have been a focus here ever since the attempt soon after the 2016 election to intimidate Electoral College Electors into not honoring the vote in their states. Since then, whether through Antifa or more normalized liberals, anything goes so long as it seeks to unwind the result of the election. The initial excuse was the Russia-collusion-mania, which we now know as the byproduct of Hillary operatives and intelligence/law enforcement agency Trump haters. There have been a rolling series of fabricated excuses, from Trump planning nuclear war with North Korea to the now omnipresent "border separation" issue.

The media-driven frenzy about separation of illegal immigrant children from their arrested parents is reaching insane heights. This is a problem which long predated Trump, and is caused by parents who expose their children to danger by bringing them illegally across the border, rather than presenting the family through lawful means of seeking asylum. These border crossings are attempts to evade U.S. law, to allow the illegal trespassers to enter the U.S. undetected. The asylum claims are simply Plan B, the excuse they have been coached to make if caught. Bringing children on this dangerous trek is the insurance card, or so they thought, of being released into the U.S. if caught. If they are not caught, there is no asylum claim and they enter and stay in the U.S. illegally.

As a "caravan of migrants" makes its way to our Southern border, President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions are working in tandem to tighten border security. The migrants are marching toward our southern border with the intent of entering the U. S. by seeking asylum, crossing illegally, or by exploiting the ongoing “catch and release” policy. Additionally, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has reported a 203% increase in illegal border crossings from March 2017 to March 2018 and a 37% increase from February 2018 to March 2018.

President Donald Trump finally visited California when he landed in the San Diego area to tour the border wall prototypes as part of a whirlwind trip that also included an address to the troops at Marine Air Station Miramar and a swank fundraising dinner in Los Angeles.

Dick Durbin's claim that Donald Trump referred to "s***hole" non-white countries during a closed door DACA negotiation has lit a fire. It appears to be part of a strategy from Durbin and Democrats to walk away from a DACA deal unless they get what they want (primarily amnesty without any changes in immigration practices or border enforcement), preferring to make this a racial issue. I covered this in my post, Dick Durbin blew up DACA, deliberately:

President Donald Trump's administration has decided to end special protections given to some El Salvador immigrants who came to America in 2001 after devastating earthquakes. Now, before you get all crazy, I'm seeing outlets bury this important detail: the protections will not end until September 2019. This will give those immigrants plenty of time to work on citizenship and stay in America. It will also give Congress time to work on immigration reform.
