From Caroline Glick, in a must read post: It's my prayer for coming year that US Jewish community will act with the majority of their fellow Americans to defend Israel. What's most stunning is that such a prayer even is needed. Update: I should have pointed out that...

Obama gave a good speech at the U.N. last week, I credited him with that. But his Israel policy still encourages Palestinian intransigence, as evidenced by his demands that Israel cease building new housing units in the Jewish neighborhood of Gilo.  Gilo occupies a strategic hilltop...

when they are talking amongst themselves or to Arabic media, and what they are saying is that the state they seek from the U.N. is just the first step in the destruction of Israel, as stated by Fatah Central Committee Member Abbas Zaki (h/t Israel Matzav)(emphasis...

Benjamin Netanyahu's full speech at the U.N. today was a masterpiece. It is available at the U.N. website.  Listen to the whole thing, it's about 45 minutes. Here is a clip of most of it: Contrast it with the delusional and dishonest speech of Mahmoud Abbas at the U.N....

There is one worthwhile clause in an otherwise worthless article at The Atlantic by Steve Clemons, Obama Tells Palestinians to Stay in the Back of the Bus. Clemons lays out the fiction that the Palestinian strategic move to take land without peace is something Gandhi-like: Obama's position on this is dangerous in...

Why the Palestinians thought that a diplomatic confrontation with the U.S. was the way to go is inexplicable.  Once again, they overplayed their hand. Did they really buy into Obama's rhetoric from 2009 in Cairo, or earlier this year about the Arab Spring?  In part, a...

Obama gave a good speech today at the U.N. on the Israel-Palestinian conflict: President Barack Obama told a meeting  of the United Nations General Assembly Wednesday that Mideast peace “will  not come through statements and resolutions” by the world body, arguing against  a proposed resolution calling...

Carl at Israel Matzav has given Mahmoud Abbas, aka Abu Mazen, the nickame "Abu Bluff." The trip by Abbas to the U.N. this week ostensibly to obtain recognition of a Palestinian state is another bluff.  Abbas doesn't even have the support of his own people, as Hamas which controls...

One lie is that there is a historically and ethnically distinct Palestinian people, but that lie is so well established that it is beyond argument now.  Even if Palestinian nationalism was a fiction created in the last few decades as a tool against Israel, that horse has...

Turkish Prime Minsister Erdogan's agitation show no signs of letting up. He's back to threats of military confrontation with Israel: Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday Israel could not do whatever it wanted in the eastern Mediterranean and that Turkish warships could be there at...

Dan Senor has a great article in The Wall Street Journal about how fundamentally Obama weakened our support of Israel, and Matthew Knee is following up here on the Obama's administration's belated push to shore up support in the Jewish community after the NY-09 Democratic debacle in which...

What a night.  Two big wins in NY-09 and NV-02. Quote of the night: “It’s a very difficult district for Democrats,” said Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, noting its Democratic margins there tend to be the second lowest of all the districts in New...

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, having threated to have warships escort ships seeking to break the Gaza blockade, has walked back those comments, claiming he was taken out of context. But other Turks apparently are getting ready for another type of war with Israel: Turkish hackers...

What is going on in Egypt was all foreseeable to those of us who did not harbor the romantic view of the Arab Spring, which in many places was just a venting of anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel which had been suppressed by dictatorial rulers.  Just ask Lara...

I wasn't sure Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan really would follow through on threats of a military confrontation with Israel over the Gaza blockade, but the recent U.N. panel decision upholding the legality of the blockade over Turkish protests seems to have sent Erdogan...

I posted yesterday about a U.N. report finding that Israel's sea blockade of Gaza is legal under international law, that Israel had a right to board and search the vessels in the May 2010 Gaza flottila (organized by a Turkish Islamist group), and that the Israelis...
