Chuck Grassley Tag

If there's one thing we've learned about the radical left, they never give up. Their horrible, unworkable, unreasonable, and downright scary ideas are rejected again and again, yet they just keep plugging away, finding new ways to move 'forward' their totalitarian agenda that they imagine will turn all of America into a progressive utopia like San Francisco, replete with horrific crime, poop-laden streets, rampant homelessness, and open-air drug use.

Uranium One is back in the news and it could spell trouble for former Vice President Biden. Sen. Grassley announced Thursday he was launching an investigation into the sale of "a sensitive U.S. technology company to the Chinese government and an investment firm run by the sons of Joe Biden and John Kerry," reports Fox News. The sale of which was approved by the Obama administration.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has decided to leave the Senate Judiciary Committee, which he chaired, to lead the Senate Finance Committee. From Politico:
“The economy is better than it’s been in years and there’s a sense of optimism about the future of our country that people haven’t felt in a long time thanks to the pro-growth policies of a Republican President and a Republican majority in Congress,” Grassley said. “Looking ahead, at the Finance Committee, I want to continue to work to make sure that as many Americans as possible get to experience this good economy for themselves."

You may recall that just after Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation, Democrats agreed to confirm 15 federal judicial nominees in exchange for Mitch McConnell putting the Senate in recess so that vulnerable Senate Dems could return home to campaign. #TheResistance was upset. While they can't stop nominees, they demand resistance for resistance sake. But Senate Democrats had other priorities.

Late Thursday night, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Grassley sent yet another request for evidence (the third in writing that's been made public) to Ford's attorneys requesting Ford's therapy notes (the ones she shared with The Washington Post but has refused to share with the committee in confidence) as well as her communications with the WaPo.
